Vicki (Ranieri '74) Martin

Sadly and tragically, Vicki Lorraine Ranieri, passed away at Stanford University Hospital on January 9th, 2007 after a long battle with cancer.  Vicki was born in San Jose, California on April 5th, 1956, the second child of Larry and Bobby Ruth Ranieri.  Vicki grew up traveling around the country and overseas as her father completed a successful career as an officer in the U.S. Army.  It was during the family’s second tour in Heidelberg, Germany that Vicki met and started dating Larry Martin in 1973.  Vicki and Larry were married on April 9th, 1977 in College Park, Maryland where they both attended the State University.  After living in Madison, Wisconsin for six years, Vicki and Larry and their first child, Arlan (born in September 7th 1978) moved to Hughson, California in January 1987.  Vicki and Larry were then blessed with two more children, Alina (born April 13th, 1988) and Antony (born July 7th, 1989).  For the past twenty years, Vicki has been heavily involved in raising her family and helping the Hughson community.  Vicki also found the time to own and manage the Hughson Video store for 3 years and to manage a home-based import company, Ram International.  Vicki was instrumental in re-starting the Hughson Chamber of Commerce and acting as its Executive Director for several years.  Vicki was also involved in school functions, several Hughson based societies (Historical and Centennial) and other community activities. For the past year, Vicki and Larry have been working as Loan Officers in the home mortgage business.  Vicki is survived by her husband, Larry Martin and his family, their three children, Arlan, Alina and Antony, Vicki’s parents, Larry and Bobby Ruth Ranieri, her brothers, Robin, Randy, Romel and Ramon and her sister, Venetia and their respective families and many friends around the world.

A memorial service will be held for Vicki at the Hughson Methodist Church on Saturday, February 3rd at 1:00 PM.  Another service will be held for Vicki in Great Falls, Montana in June where her ashes will be buried according to her wishes.
