Comments: Let me see if I can do this again, my 15 month old hit a button and lost my entry. " sweet ones " gotta love them! Ramon, I am so happy to hear that you are still alive and kicking and "yes" Eric and I have made our reservations at the Gold Coast for Thursday thru Sunday. "We might as well take advantage of the time there." I know for fact that Chris Dale hasn't made his yet, you might want to light a fire under his butt so he will get on the ball, PROCRASTINATION is a bad thing. " I love you Chris " haha Anyone who knows Karen Guastini she is thinking about it, So send e-mails or whatever to get her excited about this. Oh and Ron you made my day or should I say our day not only an e-mail but a card to " I have to say, you looked pretty good as the FLASHER " You havent changed a bit, everything looks good! Oh and Ramon I know you are going to save a dance for me "right" it has only been 15 years since the last time. I might still have a few good moves hidden away somewhere! "smile" I do hope to see many of you there, I know this is going to a blast!!! Until then so long. Cindy Smith "84"

Comments: Just a quick message to tell you that I got mine. Do you have yours.........Reservation for the reunion. Hey Cindy, sorry I haven't written back. The government fiscal year has had my hands tied for the last couple of weeks. Trying to account for the use of Goverment Grants is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Well anyway I see you found quite a few old friends. But, there is one person I'd love to here from and that's Denise Clagg. If anybody out there knows here where abouts, tell her that her "Savior in Spain" is looking for her. Corrine Thacker, knows what I'm talking about. Also, Congratulations to the Lanams and the Thackers on there bundles of joy. My son turns 10 in February, and at times I feel as if I only graduated yesterday...............memories. Take care for know. I Think of a lot of you "Ladys and Gents" often Hey Eric Lanam, I think I might fit into your wrestling singlet now. Like to rest of the crowd I've put on a few pounds. Later, Ramon

Comments: Well it has been a long time. And it is so nice to see some old names. It is amazing how when you see a name you get a good picture of who it is. I just wanted to say "HI" to all the WAHS people that I had the pleasure of knowing while I was in school. We all couldn't wait to get out and looking back it would be so nice to be ther once more, but I guess then we were all in a rush to get grown up. Well my life has been a up and down ride just like most of us, but I don't regrete a thing. I am now a very happy Flight Attendant for "Lufthansa" and am doing more traviling then I ever did when my father was in the army.. I have spent many years trying to figure out what I would like to do, I have been an Electrican, Cable TV guy, Long John Silvers, even in a porno place in LA. But at 33 it is time to finally get with it and keep one job, god knows we are not getting any younger or better looking (well some of us maybe) as we get older. Even though I sometimes feel as if I just got out of school last month, and some people even say I need to grow up. But who really has time to grow up when life is soooo much fun. My Motto "You only live once, so do it right". I have over the years run into some of the people that I went to school with and thought, "my god what happend to them", it seems people sometimes let go after they have gotten married raised a family. I guess that they think they have reached the goal or what ever they want to call it. But if that makes them happy, more power to them. I would rather party and go out and see the world and meet new people everyday, guess I got the right job for that. I just wanted to let everyone that I knew in school you are sometimes brought back up in my mind and you all put a smile on my face. You see everyone that I knew threw the years is a stone in my wall of life, everyone of you has left some part of yourself in me. It might not be something major but it is something important that has brought me where I am today. If anybody remembers me or my talking, which I was voted my senior year as most talkative, just send me a email anytime.

Comments: Hey Fellow Wolves, Wow! what a sunny day it is today and what a Blast I have when I read this guest book. My brother Gary finally took a look at this site, he is in Korea right now, any way like he said he only attended his sophmore year, he hung out with a kid named Dirk Aimes and another named Tony Violi from Schwienfurt. Girls used to come and tell me how gorgous his eyes were all though I didnt think so haha. "he is my little brother" anyway I am sorry if I embarrased you Gary haha. Well all is well In the Smith household, I am deep in kids and Eric is up to his ears in work and School. Ramon if you happen to read this I love cards but I would love to hear from ya a little more, Ron you are something else. Also I am trying to get ahold of another graduate but from the class of "83" a guy by the name of Frank Smith he is in the military and was just Transferred to Las Vegas,Nevada he is supposed to be attached to a HQ recruiting unit so if anyone who knows him and is local try to get a hold of him and tell him Eric has been trying to catch up with him. Comments: Gwen and Gil, I go into the chat room every so often, sometimes someone is there, most of the time, not. I think it would be best if your group (friends from your years) pre-arranged a meeting there. You can always post the meeting time in the guest book here. Maybe others would join in too. I think it would be fun. The hard part is just arranging it and letting everyone know. Maybe we'll hear back from you guys with a date and time!

Comments: So-My old high school boyfriend John Burke (92) and I are standing in line of the ShockWave at Six Flags when he is convinced that he sees an old Wolf. After a 20 minute "You ask him - no you ask him- no you ask him" discussion - I finally lean over and say "Excuse me, is your name Monte?" He says "yes" with a puzzled look on his face. Than I ask "Did you go to school in Wurzburg?" He responds "Yes!- I thought you did too." WE HAD BEEN STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO MONTE WISE (92) FOR THIRTY MINUTES AND NOT EVEN REALIZED IT!! So- the point of my story is - IF SOMEONE LOOKS FAMILIAR TO YOU ASK THEM! YOU MAY NEVER KNOW HOW MANY WOLVES YOU HAVE MISSED!

Comments: Thanks for letting me know where to find the Reunion list. I also wanted to let people know that I asked the Reservations Clerk if there was a sunny and/or shady side and yes there is both, and also asked if there is a view and there is a mountain view and a strip view. They are happy to note your request on your reservation, but will give you your request upon check-in if your request is available. What this does is put you at the top of the list for the area you request instead of walk-ins getting them or those who have no requests getting a room you would like. This is SO fun! I have already had several class mates contact me and I feel like I am in school again! COOOL. I always liked school...was there from 7:30am-5:30pm most of the time. The photo that was taken of the front of the school that is on the homepage of this site looks as if it was taken from the building I used to live in!! What a trip!! :-)

Comments: This is an update on my younger brother - I know he is awful in keeping in contact with people (just like I am). Anthony "Tony" Brown graduated from Wurzburg American High School in 1990. He played collegiate football at the University of Utah (earning First Team All-WAC and Third Team AP All-American Honors his senior year). He played his first four years in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals. This past summer he signed a free agent contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This week they play the Seattle Seahawks (Sunday 1 p.m.) in Pittsburgh. Tony is going to get his first start for the Steelers this weekend (it's their home opener)!!! He'll be starting at right offensive tackle and his number is 60. Yes, I'll be up in Pittsburgh checking the game out live! Anyway, Tony is doing great so if you are able to check the game out this weekend look for him. "LET'S GO STEELERS!!!". As you can tell I'm fired up enough for both of us (ha, ha, ha)!

Comments: In response to Colleen's question...on the "2000 Reunion" page on the web site, there is a list of people planning to attend the reunion. As those people send in their registration fees, I will place a notation next to their name stating that they have in fact registered. I'm still working with the hotel on some things and haven't finalized the fees yet, that will be done soon. At that time, I will have another page available with a registration form that you can print out on your printer, fill it out and send in your fees. Remember, this is a first come, first served thing since we do have to restrict the number of attendees to 800. As I've stated previously, you can make your room reservations now. The sales staff at the hotel expect the room block to sell out quickly at the rate it's going already!!! So...let's get on those diets now, start working out, do whatever you need to do to attend that high school reunion you thought you'd never have!!! See ya there!

Comments: The recent catastrophic storms that have been plaguing all of you Wolves and Wolvettes in Florida and the Carolinas are the worst that I can remember hearing about in my lifetime. I remember watching hurricane Carla on the news in the early Sixties, but even that wasnt as bad as the last few Florida storms. It seems like Mother Nature is trying to reclaim Florida and give it back to the alligators and snakes and mosquitoes and fish who rightfully live there and own it. Why not just COME TO CALIFORNIA? The weather is nice here, the beaches are nice, we dont get storms with wind and lightning in them, just rain in the winter. And if you want to ski you DRIVE TO THE SNOW; it doesnt dump on you. Glad to hear that all of you, including Vicki and Larry, have weathered things alright there. And its really great to be in touch with everyone again after all these years! I will soon be working at a school that their mascot is also a wolf. Any emails would be great. Thanks to anyone who helps out with this request. Also, if anyone remembers me feel free to email.

Comments: Hi all, Vickie S. and Lary T. I'm glad the storm decided to bypass your areas. It was dry as a bone here in Atlanta. But enough about the weather. I once again find myself in one of those nostalgic moods, probably brought on by the relentless advance of middle age. Fall has always meant change for me and it started today by me becoming unemployed. It was a voluntary thing so I could concentrate on my last semester of school. I had worked at this hospital for 8 years and it feels rather strange to no longer be associated with it. In any case I started thinking about old friends and knew I had to check the WHS site. It has been good to hear from all who have contacted me and I would like to hear from more. So if any of the old Schweinfurt, Wurzburg or Kitzigen crowd I was acquainted with is out there give me a shout. There was a guy from Schweinfurt named Dean David who never went to Wurzburg but was a good friend of mine. He called me, in Germany, from a pay phone in Key West. If anyone knows him pass it along. I hope things are going easy with everyone. See ya! (Hi Robert S., Karl S.,)

Loaded up the family and headed for Naples! There was no way that my son's were going to see what we saw with Andrew....in our new home there isn't enough room in the kitchen cabinets for all of us!!!! Yes we were lucky! My neighbors are all survivers of ANDREW. They are just now taking down the storm shudders! All in all.....Florida is a great place to live! We,ve been here 25 years!

Comments: Fellow wolves...the arrangements were made many months ago to hold the 2000 "All-Class" Alumni Reunion at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino. The response since then has been overwhelming and very unanticipated. Due to the fact that it is too late to find another meeting place to cater to our needs, and I've tried, the number of attendees to this reunion has to be restricted to 800. Due to this restriction, it is requested that children not attend the reunion functions during the evenings so that as many alumni can attend as possible. Plans for the two evenings have changed with the 60's and 70's grads having a buffet dinner on Friday and the 80's and 90's grads on Saturday. After both dinners, the room will be opened up for all attendees to join in, reminisce and dance the night away! Attendance to the reunion will be on a first come, first served basis by submitting the reunion fees to me. These fees have not yet been finalized but will be available very soon. Arrangements are also being made for babysitting in a suite on both Friday and Saturday evenings. Based on the number of children expected, an appropriate number of babysitters will be available to watch your children for a reasonable fee. A decorating committee for both evenings will be formed and you are welcome to join either committee. I apologize for putting us in a position of limiting the number of attendees, but I did not anticipate this response and it is too late to find another place large enough to hold more of us. It was my decision to remain at the Gold Coast on these dates than to delay the reunion to a later date. Please remember to make your room reservations as soon as possible. The sales staff at the hotel are amazed at the number of rooms being reserved this far in advance and they anticipate all 450 rooms available for us to be sold out. After our room block of 450 rooms is full, the hotel will most likely be booked to capacity and you will need to find other accommodations. This is gonna be one hell of a party, see ya there!!!

Comments: Fellow wolves, Well the news here has been Hurricane Floyd. I live in a condominium apartment on the third floor overlooking the water. On a normal day with a good breeze I get salt spray on my windows. So I watched this big bad thing coming my way and headed to Home Depot for some plywood but was too late. The line was around the block three times with a police escort to keep order. So with nothing left to do I bought some food and liquor and got ready. I figured if this blows my way and starts picking up debris along the way I might get a cocoanut or a flying cow crashing into my front balcony sliding glass doors. But I had made some Pina Colada's and the neighbors were throwing a party so I was happy. As it turned out all we got was a little breeze and two days off work and much excitement. But I lived through Andrew and saw the devastation and know what 150 mile an hour winds can do. My prayers are with the folks in the Carolinas and Virginia tonight.

My sister Laura Casiano also attended WAHS and she would have graduated in the 1982. I was the disc jockey for the sadie hawkins dance at school in 1980 or 1981. I was also voted biggest flirt along with a girl name Angie for the yearbook 1981 or maybe 1980. I am looking for any classmates that I many know. My e-mail is Kazziano@aol.com or DJKazz@juno.com. Congrats to Lynette Boggs. I believe you were class present of 1981. We were classmates. I am also looking for Trish Gebin and a guy named Paul who moved to Texas shortly after we graduated. Please E-mail me. Finally, my thanks to coach Sellers for being the special teacher you were. You really helped me out when a bunch of us got caught stealing stuffed animals at a mall during an art class field trip. The whole load of students stole something, but you encouraged me to admit my doing when no one else in the bus would admit it to the police. I will alway remember that and will thank you once I get to see you in heaven... Thanks Juan "Kazz" Casiano Class of 1981 Thanks

Comments: fellow wolves, In response to Josh (entry #163) I also hope things don't get too negative or heavy. If I had anything to do with that I apologize. When you get old and crotchety like me and have a drink or two you are entitled to get in the mood every once in a while and explore the dark alleys of life. I don't take some of the recent crazies too seriously but it is a good idea to be cautious. But mostly I check out this website pretty frequently because I hope some people will surface that have not yet shown up on the e-mail list. There have been many classmates that I have had an opportunity to contact but there are quite a few I would love to see show up. I am keeping my fingers crossed that between now and Vegas some will discover the website and be inclined to get post a message in the guestbook.

And, we were able to spend time with Mary Hefty '81, Marty Price '76 and Lynette Boggs who is the first Councilwoman for the city of Las Vegas! I can't wait until next July and I know this next year is going to fly by for me. Thanks again for all of the nice comments from everyone. On another note, I told you that we may be able to find the last "rude intruder" in the guest book....well, we did! The "punk" is actually a student at WAHS right now. What this "punk" didn't realize is that, as the administrator of the guest book, I was given more information about him than he realized! So....Tim K.....maybe if you put more effort into your education at WAHS, you'd be smarter and not make stupid decisions like posting anonymous messages in guest books, because they may come back to haunt you!!! To end this message on a happy note, think Vegas!!! See you all in 2000!!!

I have to wonder where you find the time to continually update this site.... between your work, your kids, life in general, the business you're trying to get off of the ground, it must take midnight hours for you to get everything on here and keep it current. Comments: I'm not going to get preachy here, I promise, but I want to thank Larry Taube (entry 149) for his words. I myself can say that Highschool was a very big part of my life and it, in many ways, shaped who I am today. Our life is what we make it and , as I've been trying to tell my sister for 27 years, if we just learn from our bad experiences it makes us stronger and happier people. I myself go through life laughing at how ludicrous some of our worries really are and how truley insignificant a role they play in the grand scheme of things. I believe that it all starts with ourselves and God. If you can love and trust in yourself and God you will ALWAYS come out ahead. I just live by my motto (well, one of 'em anyway), if I can make just one person laugh today, I can go to bed feeling good.

Comments: Fellow wolves. I apologize for getting caught up in deep thought. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I tend to lose control. This is a website that celebrates Wurzburg Wolves. I'm proud of that title, and I'm proud of Bob for giving this site to us. The philosphical, sad, discussions should probably be taken to a chat room, or taken one and one with e-mail. I am grateful for the memories, those which still manage to break through the cobwebs of my mind. Again, I apologize to you all for losing the focus of this site. I loved everyday at Wurzburg. I love remembering finding my VW Bug parked on the front steps of the school, thanks to Gus, Corona, and who knows who else. I loved the challenges, and the heartached, and I thank each of you who contributed to either.

Comments: Hello everyone, It really is good to see so many wolves returning to the den. Well, I finally got a computer and check emails everyday. Hit me up. Well, I am a Security Policeman in the Air Force. Been in for 11 years. I have been assigned to Clark Ab, Philippines, Minot AFB, North Dakata (Didn't like that to much. To COLD), Osan AB, Korea, Howard AFB, Panama and Hickam AFB, Hawaii. Been here in Hawaii since '94. Don't leave till 2002. Me and Joe San Nicolas '87 worked together for awhile. Fred Jones and Pam Williams were over here as well for awhile. Gone now. I was married for 4 years but single parent now with a 5 year old girl. Was just in Vegas past march, didn't know that many wolves were there. Catch up with you next time. For those of you who has forgotten, I have thousands of picture of you all. Some of you had gold chains, some of you had multi-colored hair, some of you was break dancing, some of you had Jerry Curls.....in fact some of you still have Jerry Curls (lol). It's ok though, be yourself. All of us wolves have mad love for each other. I have it all. As soon as I get a Scanner I will be setting up a web page of WAHS pictures. Yeah, we all should have some laughs. Well here is my info, call and say what's up, email, just keep in touch. Yo to my homies who wants to come to Hawaii, let me know. I will take care of you. I won't by you a ticket but I can save you hundreds of dollars. Look out for my first rapp single going nationwide soon featuring LL Cool J..... (Battle Cat) "At War with the World" James R. Comments: fellow wolves forgive me for having too much time on my hands but I have been reading some of the recent entries with a combination of interest and sadness. I agree with the general sentiment expressed that it is appropriate to at least discuss some of the darker sides of the high school experience. For many of us high school is the seminal american adolescent experience. There is a personal mythology about it that evolves and transforms us. Personally I do not consider high school to have been necessarily the best or even the most significant episode in my life. But I do understand and definitely felt the enormous amount of angst associated with it. When we are teenagers we have no sense and our hormones are out of control. Every day seems like either the best day or the worst day of our lives. There seems to be nothing in between. The days pass with an overabundant intensity and desperate sense that what we do is really important. And all of these things happen at a time when some of us are at our weakest and most vulnerable. A terrible primal group instinct sometimes surfaces from a very dark source and compels the strong to victimize the weak. I can only say that if I had it to do all over again I hope and wish I would lavish love and unconditional attention upon everyone everytime all the time and especially upon the most trouble and hurt. But the good news -or bad news as you wish to view it-- is that later in life those concerns are abated because we have to contend with all of the real wonders and problems associated with marriage, children, money, personal health and the inevitable achievments and tragedies that are a part of normal life. And as we get older those things are all too real. When you get into your mid 40s the statistics are such that along with having children and aquiring some wealth you may also bury a family member, get divorced, suffer a loss of savings in a failed business venture, have heart attacks and many things to terrible to imagine(like spending your money to support an in-law that complains). As a lawyer I have clients that come into office in a steady stream and I am amazed that many of them are suffering from more than one of these stressors at the same time. Yet they persevere and travel through life with hope and optimism and the belief that good things are just around the corner. So for those that want to continue to complain about how rough high school I want to remind you of the metaphor of God reaching down from heaven and giving you a "cosmic dope slap" and scolding, "Quit your bitching right now or I will give you something real to whine about". Life is truly short and precious. In the meantime I am so happy just to locate so many of my dear old friends. I will be in Vegas in Y2K and I will be buying everybody a drink and giving everybody a great big hug and--if I can get away with it--a juicy sloppy kiss. And I promise I won't be preaching the Gospel according to Larry.

Comments: Maybe I'm dense, but I'm not sure who's upset with who here. In my previous entry, I was attempting to point out that on this website, there is a wide range of generational situations at work here. Those of us from the 70's and early 80's come from a very different perspective and experience than Jim '91. Wurzburg isn't any more or less of a high school because of our differing perspectives. I firmly believe that I can raise my children to think before they act, and to know without a shadow of a doubt that life is good, and that people are inherently good. I've always believed that, and approached people in life with that conviction. As a result, I find that I'm generally not disappointed. How do we teach that? Do teachers? Whose job is it? I believe it's mine and my husband's. So far so good. But, we are only at the beginning of a tumultous stage where are children are just starting to identify themselves outside of the family unit. I'm terrified, but confident. I'm confident in my children, but cautious in others. I'm not sure that the people my children come in contact with are instilling the same values in their children. Do we want clones? No!! But what is the basic value system in society? Sorry, Democrats, but is Clinton leading the way. Lying must be okay, adultery in any sense is okay. What else is okay for the president of the greatest nation on earth, yet not what the majority of parents want to teach their children. My high school resume probably contains the following information, any of you who read this that knew me, please free to confirm or deny any of this: She was a brain, a nerd, but not a nerd. She was pretty, but not the prettiest. She was popular, but not popular. She tried to be a jock, but was terribly unathletic. She drank a lot, but she didn't drink a lot. She didn't experiment with drugs, but associated with many who did. She was known by many as person who didn't judge others, and basically only saw the good in everyone. She tried to understand why people did things that she didn't agree with and befriended those who were different anyway. She made plenty of mistakes and hurt many people along the way, but tried to make up for those mistakes given the opportunity. Am I saying my high school experience was perfect, or a model for others. NO! It was just my experience, and I think even in my negligent, innocent days I knew enough, or was taught enough BY MY PARENTS, and through an immature spiritual relationship, to TREAT EVERYONE WITH RESPECT! I had many great teachers, and several unforgettable ones. But one sticks out in my mind that I don't see mentioned on this site. I think after I left in '80 something transpired and he was forced to leave. Nevertheless, Mr. Al Shaff, soccer coach, English teacher taught me something that my parents also taught me, but he made it bluntly obvious. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. In his classroom, there wasn't always right or wrong, but different. In his classroom, you weren't judged, but entitled. There are so many disjointed thoughts in my head, that I'm probably making no sense anymore, so I'll get off my soapbox before I forget where I'm going. If Jim's experience was negative, it's his experience. He can choose to find the positive if he wants, or can forever decide that high school was awful. That doesn't make him a bad person. Married, or single, working or not, I brought children into this world, and it's my honor as a parent to give my children the equipment they need to deal with society. It is no one else's responsibility but mine. It's serious, and for many years it will be thankless. My prayer is that if they respect others, they will be respected and protected by God's grace.

Comments: I am not by any means unsympethetic to the youth of today... I remember the school yard beatings... cat fights... poundings... We used to fist fight quite a bit... bloody noses, bruised ribs, personal degradation, everyone watching. There was racism back then too. Tempers flaired... Our girls (sisters, friends, girlfriends) were getting pregnant then and our parents were embarassed about it. They were in total denial. It wasn't supposed to be common but it was happening. Young girls... (14, 15, 16, 17) I hated going to Bamberg to visit my friends cause we couldn't hang out at night without someone picking a fight with us. There is nothing different these days... except the inherited intelligence of our children. But... they use it to go get a gun and threaten someone. Does it evenout the playing field? Yea baby, your the man when you have that pistol in my face. I picked on the unpopular sometimes and others picked on me sometimes. I was a semi-Socialite and I saw it go both ways. Occasionally the jocks acted stupid and teased someone but we just considered the (individual) source. Not all the jocks were mean. Many were too cool. You can't convince me that the children today don't have a fighting chance. They are smarter through the hereditary ladder and their problems are also different to some extent for their generations. I have a daughter who will be 13 this month... you don't think I worry about her...!!? I am a good parent. I listen... I advise... and I am there. She is raised by my wife and I and not the TV or anyone else. The fall of our society is directly attributed to the fall of the family. It's not only TV... It's not only designer drugs... It's not only the new millenium. We bring them in higher on the ladder than us and we also need to prepare them for the greater fall that is possible. It all comes down to evolution. If our children are going to be smarter in some things, they must also be smarter in all things. When three guys beat the crap out of me for kicks when I was 11, I didn't become demented, I didn't plan any pipe bombs or stabings. I learned to not cross their paths and to not let that situation arise again. Yes, life changes... but life is tough, and High School is only a beginning for the rest of your adult life. Sorry Bob, I know you wish this would quit. After Tim and Jim, I have to speak as a modern day parent. I am not Ward Cleaver but I am a Dad and my daughter will survive, through my wife's and my love, through our input and through some tough times in school. (Test your wings Pokey... they will carry you...) Life IS good! Life is what you make it. Every cloud has a silver lining... meaning learn from your bad times as well as your good times. Adolph Coors wife said it best on Biography (on A&E), "if you don't have any bad times in life you learn nothing..." I do feel for the pain our children go through... it's okay... you'll survive... thank "god" for your life here... (I am not religious but I am spiritual) Life is deeper than you think... I love you my wife and wolfmate Cindy... and I love you my sister Vicki who is going through some very hard times...you are loved and "god" IS with you... It's okay... everything will work out. Mom seemed to always be so happy with her life... she saw the big picture... I am still looking... I know it is there... she said so.......... I love all of you, I really do...

Comments: This website is so great. I have such fond memories of my years ('71-'73) at WAHS. This site has brought so many people together. Thanks! Vickie Santillana and I have discovered that we danced together in Mrs. Verny's dance class as well as being "urchins" (dancers) in the Special Services Entertainment play THE ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT. Wondering if there are any other urchins out there or Verny dancers....???? Maybe we can get together and do a little number at the reunion! Ha!

Comments: I just checked out the Guest Book after a few week hiatus and there have been some interesting, thought-provoking entries. I would urge all of us to respect and tolerate each person's views, regardless of how discordant they may be with our own. I'm sure there is a tremendous "pro-WAHS" bias at this great website; those folks who hated, dreaded, or just "endured" high school would most likely not be clamoring to get in touch with the representation of their trauma/dismay/disgust. Most of us who use this website probably do so because there is much that we loved about Wurzburg (including WAHS) and the time we spent there. If folks are at all like me, they get a "rush" coming across a familiar name in the Guest Book or seeing a familiar face in the photo page. However positively many of feel about WAHS, I'm sure there are many that don't feel that way for a myriad of reasons. It is important to let those who hated an experience have their voice as well. A thorough understanding of any experience requires exposure to all aspects of the experience. The Columbine tragedy was so disturbing for so many reasons, but not least of which was that many people seemed to not get the fact that there was extreme taunting, teasing, and marginalization of a significant portion of the student body. Obviously, this is not an excuse to shoot up the place (and the vast majority of those who experience these things won't), but it SHOULD AT LEAST PROVOKE SOME DEGREE OF INTROSPECTION in to what would lead kids to choose that sort of extreme option. It seemed too easy to focus our outrage and hatred towards two individuals and leave the many folks with similarly discouraging high school experiences feeling alienated and misunderstood. We all need to respect the power of teasing and taunting and attempt to replace it with basic respect for the differences that characterize us. I know this sounds blindly optimistic but I'm confident that if parents make an effort to teach their kids that it is NOT alright to bully, tease, or pick-on other kids a change can occur. Personally, I was a fairly popular student in high school (soccer, football, student council prez., etc.). Therefore I hung around with other fairly popular students and SADLY did not really take the time to get to know those folks that, for whatever reason, were not popular. I feel, in retrospect obviously, that I probably would have been a much more rounded person if I'd made more of an effort to have a more diverse group of friends. Remember, for the most part, high school popularity does NOT predict future success. Enough of my psychobabble though.... hope all Wolves everywhere are happy and healthy.

He is a captain in the U.S. Army and is currently in law school at Michigan State University. After college at Hampton University and grauate school at the University of Georgia, I've spent the past two (just started number 3) as a high school social studies teacher about forty miles from Atlanta in Covington, GA. Hopefully Terry and I can get back in touch with some of you who we foolishly lost contact with. There were some people who I knew where they were 3 0r 4 moves ago. But it has not been easy keeping up with where everyone is. JOHN McCARTHY, MIQUILL JONES, TOMMY MADRID, SHAUNTA COUTEE', KIM BOYKIN, LATEASHA THORNTON, QUENNETH, B.K., SCHWEINFURT, AND EVERYONE WE KNEW AT WAHS can feel free to contact us via directory assistance (Brian in Conyers, GA - Terry [Vasco] in Lansing, Michigan). Comments: Many of us that went to high school pre 1980 had an experience very different from what the kids today have. I think Jim is coming from a very different mind set and experience even though he attended the same great school. I want to know where the parents are, at Columbine, or Wurzburg, or right here in Ft. Hood. Student and teacher mentality is very different today. In my yesterday, my biggest fear was whether or not I would ace the next test. I felt safe, in school and in the community. I can't say the same for my 6th daughter just starting middle school. Within the first week of school, she was threatened with having her locker bashed in, because she did the right thing. I think many of us that stay in contact with this website remember our innocence. We were innocent in those days. Did you kiss someone was the biggest question? Anyone, especially women, who did more than that had labels. Today, the question is more along the lines of who is pregnant. What was acceptable behavior has changed significantly over the last 20 years. All of that adds to the high school experience that we relate to. My prayer is that my daughter doesn't get aids. Actually, I haven't given up on instilling my values on her. I hope the same things for her that my parents hoped for me. The bottom line is that the children today look phsically different, and are therefore treated different, while their brains remain small. They are faced with very different societal challenges than we were, and they don't have the mental capacity to deal with the adult problems (as we define adult problems). For example, sex, in our day was not the norm, whether we choose to admit it or not. It was an adult decision, an adult act. It was not expected by male or female, it was hoped for, but truly not expected. Now the preponderance of the high school population has had sex before leaving middle school. Talk about stressed out kids. That's just one example of a stress that a child is incapable of managing in their life. Let us not forget, they may be in high school, but they are children, whether we like it or not. Again, I ask, where are the parents? They make the difference in the high school experience. Are they a part of the curriculum, a part of the faculty, and a part of the student body involved in their child's education. If they are, then they are more in tune with what's going on, and can help everyone feel more safe. They could have made the difference at Columbine, I'm convinced of it.

Comments: Please..... Jim..... let it go.... High School students are on their last platform before becoming full blown adults. High School is a heck of a lot easier than ADULT LIFE... I wish this were a perfect world... BUT... it is not... Many of us older wolves did not see H.S. as a negative experience because we knew that all we had to do was walk away from it. But, most of our H.S. experiences were with our close and dear friends. Didn't matter back then about the people that added to the lower aspects of our day. There were many other things going on in the world that made us feel stupid for feeling neglected or mistreated. We worked hard through the cold war (we did see it, and I was so happy when the wall came down), the Vietnam War and the un-popularity of it... Just so our kids would not have to be hurt like we were... But I guess what we failed to understand was that each generation has it's own demons, irregardless of the historical magnitude of the negativity.... (Do you see where I am going with this...?) We all just need to love each other and treat each other the most positive way we wish others would treat us... whether or not we get it in return... I loved Germany and it wasn't because of WAHS,... it was because of all the other kids my age that were in the same boat as me... Can't never go back there again... I only want to remember the good... the dances... the camping trips... (yeah Randy and Mike!) the gasthauses... the tougher times are only memories which made me stronger... Life can be rough... But there are lessons to be learned... and in my opinion, the hardest lessons to learn are how to be happy... NO MATTER WHAT... I love you wolves...! I love you most my female wolf mate... CindyLou...!!

Comments: I hope everyone who went to Wurzburg American High School had a positive experience there, like I did. Back in 1969 thru 1972 when I was there, it was a really small school, with only about 100 students in each of the grades 9 thru 12. So it seems to me that each of the kids in the school, particularly the juniors and seniors, got LOTS of attention. And that's what they needed. That's what all kids need. And if anyone did NOT get what they needed there, or did NOT have a positive experience there, I hope they will use this web site to get help from those of us who did have a positive experience there. It is never too late to change your past, because today is the very first day of the rest of your life. I appreciate the fact that faculty like Bob Knych and Michael Chitty and Carole Eaton invested tons of time in me, to make me a better person. I was also lucky that superkids, upper classmen, like Joe Nadeau and Mike McNerney were there to challenge me to contribute something to Our School rather than just take from it. Everybody deserves memories like that. I'm glad that I have them. /s/ Karl Schubert aka Hans. WAHS '72 Valedictorian & Letterman(golf & wrestling).

Comments: I don't know what Tim's particular hang-up's are/were and I haven't seen his message to confirm anything, but I have to say that there is a chance that his anger towards WAHS is warranted. Not everyone had a particulary rosy or semi-rosy high school experience. They may have liked parts of WAHS, be it the teachers, an extra curricular activity or (heaven forbid) the cafiteria food, but all in all they just didn't like the place. That's valid. We keep hearing (here and elsewhere) that having it tough in high school is all a part of growing up, but that's just bunk. I don't buy it. Cruelity, if it exists, has no place anywhere. Period. While I don't condone what happened in Columbine (mentioned in a number of posts), you have to wonder what the climate of the school was like when the students being interviewed (post incident) were still feeling justified in calling the attackers "dirty fags" and felt vindicated in beating them up and routinely pushing them into lockers. And the national media ate it up. No, you shouldn't bring guns to school and meet out revenge at the end of a barrell, but you also shouldn't take it upon yourself to daily berate someone and single them out because they are different. On both accounts, its wrong. When I was in school, there was a pathetic (bad art, bad concept) comic that ran in the school newspaper in which some junior or senior vented his distaste for all the middle schoolers that roamed our halls (at the time) and their big backpacks. The comic had no merit, but ran regularly in a school sanctioned paper, and basically detailed all his fantasies of persecuting these poor kids. Maybe someone can explain why this was necessary or what value it had to the general school populace? To me, it seemed like the school was putting its stamp of approval on the activities detailed in the strip. Having had a brother in those grades at the time, I had to field questions from kids who were somewhat scared by what they saw. I am thankful for the teachers at WAHS, they (Mrs. Peters, Mr. Depauw, Mr Sellers, Mr Dyroff, Mrs. Sullivan, Mr. Zimmerman, Mr. Knych, Mr Flom, Mrs Reddy-Osgood and many others) taught me a lot. I am thankful that Mr. Depauw asked about my college plans one bad day and I told him that I did plan to attend. He said, "That's good, Jim. You'll do well in college. I think you will really like it." That cut through the crap and made me feel great. As simple as it was, It helped me a lot. Not everyone is lucky enough to get the encouragement that they need WHEN they really need it, it would probably solve a lot of problems and mend a lot of hurt feelings. Sometimes a school has to step in and take the keys away from the animals to say that it will not condone certain behavior. Maybe then, less people will vindicated by the lack of action that the administration takes towards their actions and more people can honestly say that they "liked" high school. As a final thought, consider this, as Columbine students are heading back to school they are now subject to a new school policy, created after some soul searching as to why two students would take up arms against their own. That policy is a zero-tolerance rule against teasing and persecuting kids within the school's population. Those guilty are subject to suspension and possible expulsion. We'll see if they hand out this discipline with an unbiased hand. Only time will tell.

Comments: In response to George Williams entry #110 Coach Lavalle went to the new school at Zweibrucken the following year. It was real blow to WHS because he was truly a very good high school football coach. Sports coaches must be matched with the age bracket involved in order to be successful. The next 2 years WHS struggled with new coaches that had to learn the system and most important how to deal with kid at the high school age. The new coaches had good intentions and tried but in my opinion did not measure up to Coach Lavalle while I was there through 1972. When we eventually did play a Coach Lavalle Zweibrucken team his style was already in place and I recognized it. First there was his unusual snap cadence "Ready! Set! Go!" instead of the usual "Down! Set! Hut!". The power plays were termed and numbered very simply so you could not misunderstand the call. And the ball was always hiked on the first "Go!" so there was little mystery but rarely an offsides call. And the quarterback always rolled out away on every play so that an outlet pass was always possible and the quarterback was less likely to get injured by staying in the pocket. And he was really fond of running plays that involved a pulling guard. He liked to put his best players at that position and as I recollect George Williams played that position very well. In my senior year I was a defensive tackle and could see the play coming and knew the count and knew the quarterback would roll out away from the play but he had his guys so well coached that I could not stop it even when I knew when and where it was coming. That is the apparent key to success when you run a simple up front offense. You have to be on the same page all the time and execute. In the chaos that goes on the field and in the huddle the team that has clear and simple commands wins the day. His practices were very tough. The conditioning was at a high level. We practiced the same play over and over until we got it right. He was very intense and there was not a lot of nonsense. Somehow in a way I cannot articulate he had the ability to push you with out being demeaning. There was always a feeling of self-respect and I cannot recall anyone being cut or quitting the team because they could not take it. You wanted his respect and would work to earn it. I always thought he was a kind of real man and admired him. He hated to lose. When we did lose to Berlin and we were crushed he told us to hold our heads up and that their running back Cleo Johnson who must have run for 200 yards was going to play at some college next year and there was no shame in losing today. Cleo did play and started for Ferrum College the next year as a freshman. And he was always serious about the kicking game because that was his position at Hillsdale College. When he was a little playful and felt like showing off he would boom a good punt for us and it was a thing of beauty to watch it arc into the sky like it had just lifted off from the Cape. And for the rest of my life I have loved football and with some interest I always check out the small school results to see how little Hillsdale College did that weekend because it makes me think of Coach Lavalle.

Comments: Greetings from sunny South Bay! I was reading the Guest Book, as a lot of you do, and I wanted to remind everyone who was fortunate to be taught or coached by Coach John Sellers that there is an opportunity for us to donate some dollars for a name plate in the Gym. We are really close to goal, only 90.00 dollars to go, so even a little bit (like 5 dollars or something) will go a long way. Click on the John Sellers Gym and take a look at the information. Seems to be a nice way for us to be able to honor Coach Sellers. And if we reach goal before you get to donate, that's okay, just store that money in a piggy bank for the Reunion, and label it "buy Mary a drink" fund. Tee hee. I know that Michael McNerney has already started this exact fund ;-)

Can anybody tell me what happened to Dan Richards or Bill Coberly? (John Laverty is in Florida) What about Mr. Jones or Coach LaValley. No matter what any one says, 1970 went down as a record year, and our football team that fall only lost to Berlin. And Senior skip day was never duplicated, I'm sure. So much life in so little time. I'm just constantly awed at the beauty of Germany and Austria. My sister is living a dream, in a beautiful village, with a view of a Castle, and a beautiful Church. She can see into the valley, with green rolling hills on the other side. Not only did I enjoy the view, but I have to say, in Wolf fashion, I did also enjoy the Beer, the table foosball, and the food. It was a wonderful week, and I'm reminded that Wurzburg is the best place on earth to attend high school.

Please call me at 757-593-8755 if you are there as well. I went to a Black Sabbath concert a few weeks ago. I seem to be going to all of my concerts now that I am an "adult" instead of when I was a kid. Needless to say, the concert was great. My fiance' and I were "waved" in without question as those before us and after us were scanned and such. We were quite insulted! ha ha It might have to do with the fact that we looked like we were going to do lunch, instead of a concert. Oh, well. I had a blast. Greetings! See you all in 2000.

When I spoke with her last, she was not planning on attending the reunion next summer. However, I am a consultant with PartyLite Gifts and we are having our National Conference next year in Las Vegas from 19 July to 22 July. (This would be one reason why no one can get into the LVCVA to make reservations - never give 10,000 women one 1-800 number!) If you knew Cindy, and are going to the reunion, let me know - I can bring pictures, etc., and fill you in on what she's been up to lately. Oh, and was that Rob Cerjan as in son of Pat, my mother's prayer partner? Did you say you were going to the reunion? It'd be great to see you again!

Comments: Bibi, Gary, and Mike's thoughts and feelings all seem very profoundly philosophical and I love reading them. And I agree with Larry too, that it is also good to read about and hear from the earlier generation of Wolves from the 60s that preceded us at Our School. We all inherited a great School, we made it better, and we passed it on to other kids, who clearly did the same in their day too. I remember times when faculty members like Mr. Michael Chitty would come to us student leaders and ask us what the faculty should do in certain circumstances, and when he and others would do that, we would look at each other and observe that, wow, our opinions mattered! Funny thing about 3 woods though -- looking at them on the tee or on the fairway only caused me more stress, due I’m sure in great part to Coach Bob Knych watching our scores and trying hard but in vain to win those interscholastic varsity golf tournaments! Maybe now thats why I just use irons when I play golf. Got no use for woods at all! Just drive with my 2 iron off the tee and get about 250 yards of distance that way, straight as an arrow (try pushups to improve your golf game!) Talk about trauma, I hated trapsing through those roughs on golf courses in Germany poking around all those poisonous red mushrooms looking for my golf ball!!! That was really BAD !!!

Comments: High School seems forever ago!! What a neat website. That Vegas reunion sounds awesome!! Does anyone remember me??? The quiet one that rode the "Rock Bus" from Schweinfurt (at least it wasn't the "Nerd Bus"). Boy how time flies. Curious about Karine Ouimette or any of those other "Rock Bus" riders. What was that bus drivers name? We should have graduated early for all that extra credit we earned on the bus. At the time I was glad to leave but, looking back there were some really good times along the way. Clint,

Comments: Hello fellow wolves, Its been great hearing from a few of you that have seen my previous letter. I hope to hear from a few more of you wild and crazy people. In case this is the first time you have seen my attempt at e-mail please give a yell to this old man. I was in Wertheim from 61 to 65. Graduated in 65. Wife and I will be in Vegas next year. Reservations have been made and confirmed. Am really looking foward to seeing a lot of old friends, both the ones ahead of me and behind me. Would like to know if anyone knows where Bob Blakeman is living? He was class of 67. Oh, by the way I have another e-mail address at Wolfgang@atlnet.com. How about a phone call from anyone. This old man likes phones better. 770-932-9654 evenings & weekends. 770-623-3976 7a-8=7p weekdays. Good health and best wishes to all WAHS alumni.

Comments: Hey Bob... Thanks for taking that message from Tim Kerrick off of the board. He is one sad puppy... I am currently living in Colorado Springs (my wife and I make our home in Las Vegas) and when the Columbine incident happened it was a very sad time in the Rockies. Tim's mentality is what fuels these sorts of crimes against society. Since I have discovered this site I have reunited through email with two wonderful friends from my past in Kitzingen, Randy Ranieri and Mike Laverty. If it wasn't for this site I may have never found these great guys. We have spent large amounts of time last week remembering the old days and laughing at the pictures of us back then in our desert boots and such. Thanks again for providing the means for us wolves to once again rally as a pack.

Comments: Hello fellow Wolves, I didn't get to read the message that was written by the individual who has stirred up the dust. Yet I can't help but respond to everyone else's frustrations, so the display of this person's ignorance must have been very profound. My time living in Kitzingen and attending school in Wurzburg was for lack of a better term...astounding and awesome. I met, made life long friends, enjoyed the road trips with the Football, Basketball and Golf teams to different parts of Europe. We all met and played with the Locals. Language was never a barrier with us. Our lives were enriched by this interaction with the world we lived around in, how many stateside High schools have that depth and richness? Living in the Wurzburg community/family I learned it made us the same...despite the differences we brought from "the world" we became something more, something better, we all shared the same experience(s) of living there. Growing up as teenagers has its own unique and inherent frustrations, yet we all perservered, and got help from our Teachers at Wurzburg. Mr. Boock, Mr. Jones (Say something profound Mr. McNerney..) he always said that to me in my senior year there, Mr. Konzal, Degler, Frau Konrad, Coach(s) Dougherty & Sellers, and Mr. Knych who proved that a round of golf and a good 3 wood shot off the tee went a long way to resolve those tensions. My best friends there at the time, Larry, Donna, Pat, Karl, Kenny Lee, Michael Farris, Tony Quilico, Marvin Barr and oh! You Wurzburg/Wertheim Babes!! Don't think I wasn't looking...:) I was always connected to that group of classmates and the School at Wurzburg that for awhile's became my lifeline, which I will always grateful for. If you live within yourself you short change the people around you. You damage yourself and since your input is all one sided, that becomes wrong and puts you into a downward spiral. You deserve better, and so do we. Okay I'm off my soapbox, Who's next? And Mr. Jones? If you're out there? Here's one for you...Eschew Obfuscation...HA!

Comments: I'm usually not one to get on my "high horse",but what is going on here?? I realize that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but come on!!!!!All this talk of violence is so scary....Look around, every time you turn on the news, there is another shooting,in fact in Atlanta we lost 24 souls in one month alone (July),not to mention this daycare shooting recently!!! Whether the coments were meant to be harmless/or funny??? It's just bad taste!!!! And as for WAHS!!!! I had a BALL!!!! Hey,high school wasn't easy, but that's just a part of growing up,and granted some kids had it easier than others, and yes, maybe some teachers rode your "last nerve",but again,THAT'S LIFE!!!! It's just how you look at things: If they're bad, change them,if they're good, you can even make them better!!!! I tell you what,I was "blessed" to be a Military Brat!!! The places I have seen, the people I have met, only enriched my life!!! And if it weren't for this site, THANK YOU AGAIN BOB!!!!! Chances are,I would not have found some of the most important people in my life!!!! Well anyway, like I said before,"everyone is entitled to their own opinion",but if you don't like the site, don't visit, and don't sign in,because there are still plenty of "US" out there, all generations that loved THAT SCHOOL AND EACH OTHER!!!!!! AND STILL DO!!!!! Here are to better days, more peaceful days!!!!!! Goodnight!!!! CLASS OF 87!!!! P.S. Yvonne I will write soon!!! Love,B

Comments: I agree with you Greg... I would almost sound like a parent but the kids these days don't know how to vent their anger... We rebelled... but we didn't shoot people or dis' an entire school. The school is a building... it is lifeless. It carrys a name but that is all... WE are the school. If a student's years at WAHS were crap it is because some of the student's generation was acting like crap and the student wasn't able to deal with it. We had people in our classes that were a** holes. But we still managed to go on... Grow up young folks and do something positive instead of whine and cry like spoiled brats,... change things for the better instead of destroy things and complain! YOU control your destiny...! It doesn't matter what caused these attitudes,... what matters is, are you grown up enough to change things for the better without taking out your rage out on other people. Hopefully, the kids today will quit being led, and try to do what is right, change the world peacefully and positively. Every hundred years or so there is an entirely different controlling faction on this planet... get a clue... Wolves DO RULE!!! I love all of my pack...! Greg,... we need to let these kids of today know that Wurzburg is special... Us older wolves need to tame the younger wolves... it's for their best interests... see you at the reunion...

Comments: Hello everyone! I look at the guestbook about everyday, but never seem to have the time to sign on! It has been so incredibly great to be back in touch with some of the people I have missed so much for many years. This website has given me some new buddies, too! I am 30 now and feel like I am going through the EARLY mid-life crisis thing.... What have I done with my life? Am I truly happy? Am I where I want to be? I can say that I have worked my *ss off and I guess you could say I am in an important position in a large corporation and am very proud of myself! I am a mother of a son (age 6) who respects his elders and they respect him, too. (Funny that I turned out to be a good mom, considering where I came from..... just goes to show it can be done!) I am in a fairly good marriage. (somedays I don't feel like it, but basically, it's pretty ok - it is number 2 for me, but it's a heck of a lot better than the first!!!) I really like this website and find it a good place to vent and read others joys, troubles and sorrows. One thought to ponder -- if you REALLY and TRULY want something, no matter what it may be, work for it. Nothing is free in life and if it is, it doesn't bring the satisfaction good old hard work brings!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day and with all of the craziness in the world, make sure you tell the ones you love how much they mean to you. You never know what tomorrow brings..... Hope I don't sound too wacko. You know how women get sometimes!!!! TAKE CARE!!!

I pointed to the screen and said "See that name? -Greg Manwaring- He went to the same high school as daddy!" Comments: Isn't technology great! It is so great to bring together the many scattered wolves. My wonderful husband and best friend, Gary Ybanez, is also a former Wurzburg Wolf. It is fate how we met in Las Vegas and then finding out we both went to the same school. My rusty memory hinders me from remembering names of all the people I knew in 1983, but there are a couple that come to mind. In the summer of 1982, I moved to Wurzburg from El Paso, Texas. A girl by the name of Lee Riley (class of 1984), took me under her wing and proceeded to show me how to ditch school and go to Lugie's to drink (that greek gausthaus down the road). Does anyone remember the Senior Class trip to Spain in 1983 and 1984? I remember Debbie Koernke, whom I also knew in Texas. Also, on the class trip in 1983 there were a couple of girls I hung out with named I think Bernadette (she played the flute in that song Men from Down Under) and Mikaela Torka. BTW, our daughter's name is Mikaela because I liked that name so much. That is about all the names I can remember right off hand. Oh yes, I also want to mention I never had Coach Sellars in school, but I did have Mr. Bock. Anyone remember him? He was sometime strict but I liked him because he always thought my notes to leave class were legitimate...thanks Mr. Bock. I had a great time in Germany and I wouldn't change a thing! Gary and I look forward to attending the reunion in Vegas next year!

Comments: Isn't technology great! Comments: Hi everyone!! Another wolve has found his way home. I only spent half of my freshman year at Wurzburg H.S. before we rotated to Colorado but my sisters Dorothy and Vicki were there much longer. Most of my memories are from Kitzingen. An old friend of mine Tom Tabaczynski contacted me about this site so I had to come look. I have informed my sisters of it so I am sure they will show up soon. It is good hearing names I recognize like the Lavertys and the Bushyheads. I actually met my wife in Las Vegas, but she is also a wolve from '82 (Cindy Sargent). We live in Las Vegas (eventhough I am currently in Colorado Springs) and I am sure we will attend the reunion next summer. Hope to hear from a few of the pack!!

Comments: NOW is a good time for everyone who is coming to next years reunion [July 20-22, 2000] to call the hotel in Las Vegas [1-888-402-6278] and make your room reservations. The room prices are quite affordable, and I doubt that even Motel 6 can give you a much better deal. When you call, make sure you tell them "I am with the Wurzburg High School Reunion group." They will take your VISA or MasterCard number to guarantee your room, but you wont be billed until you arrive or else if you violate their 48 hour cancellation policy. I can hardly wait to see everyone there next year! What did we used to say back in Germany back then? THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE DAYS AND A WAKE UP TO GO !!!

Comments: greetings fellow wolves. I was thinking that it is nice to see some of the few wolves from the 60's like Fred Hamby and Paul Jurkoic are enthusiastic about the party in Y2K in Vegas. I think that particular generation was special for reasons that deserve a longer treatise on sociology than is allowed here. But apparently old dogs can learn new tricks as they have embraced the information age and the internet. Maybe they can teach us a few tricks. I definitely want to learn how to party from these guys and hope they can make it. I will be buying the drinks. Contrary to Karl's postings I am not the richest wolf but I have learned how to grab the check.....

She told me about Bob's web site and at first I just laughed, but now I see that he does indeed have way too much free time. For those of you who've been wondering (and Jenet tells me that there are many) what I've been up to after graduation, here's the quick recap: spent freshman year at Caltech, sophomore year at Harvard, and the rest of the time at Stanford (except for a brief stint at Oxford). I ended up graduating from Stanford with Bachelor's degrees in Economics and International Realtions and a Master's degree in Engineering-Economic Systems & Operations Research. After graduating early in March, I spent some travelling around east and southeast Asia and am currently visiting my parents Alexandria, VA. I'm starting work on Wall Street next week -- I'll be working for the investment bank, Goldman Sachs. I guess some of you already know this since Jason Boyd's dad has done a pretty good job at keeping everyone well-informed. So, sorry if I bored you. Cheers, Krishna.

Comments: I have found do many people since that day Jenn Devlin found me and I found this website! Life has gotten so much better since then! Nothing new, all is well with me! About to start my Senior year of college this Fall! My son is doing fine, in the heart of the terrible two's. All who remember me drop me a line, I look forward to being in contact with more fellow wolves and I'll see everyone in 2000. leia

This site is dedicated to my dad, who has taught at WAHS since 1972.
