Edward A. Wood November 25, 1963- January 15, 2007 COLUMBUS, GA— Mr. Edward A. Wood of 901 Joy Road, Lot F-44, passed Monday at his home. He was 43 years old. Born in Ft. Benning, GA. on November 25, 1963, Mr. Wood was the son of Mrs. Elsie Wood of Gleason, TN. and the late Edward Wood. He was a 1981 graduate of Würzburg American High School in Wurzberg, Germany. He had resided in Columbus for 14 years and was a member of the St. Mary's Road United Methodist Church and was a Prince Hall Mason. Survivors, other than his mother include his wife, Annette Cooks Wood of Columbus; three sons, Mario Wood of Jacksonville, FL., Tabias Wood and Taysean Wood of Columbus; one daughter, Lakira Wood of East Orange, NJ.; one grandchild, Travahn G. Johnson; a sister, Le Devra Cary of Hampton, VA.; two step sons, Keith Childress and Demetrius Cooks of Columbus; a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing Services for Mr. Wood will be Monday, 11 a.m. at St. Paul AME Church with Rev. James Alexander Sr., pastor, officiating. The interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 1 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home. The cortege will depart from 5006 Dodd Drive, Columbus at 10:30 the day of the service.
