Bio

AFter graduation in 82, I attended U of M at Munich. After 2 fine years there, majoring in Fine Arts, I returned to Wertheim and looked for a job. Ended up working as a GS04 at the Furnishings Branch of the Housing Office. By a stroke of (bad?) luck, I ended up being the man in charge of the branch when the manager up and quit. All that responsibility thrust upon me changed my life forever. In 1987, I had to leave the job as I was no longer a dependent (23 by that point). I wanted to marry my then girlfriend, a nice German girl who lived next door. So I decided to enlist in the Air Force, reporting to Basic Training at Lackland AFB, TX, March 88. During those 6 weeks of Basic, I wondered what the hell was I doing there, but I did survive to go on to Denver for Tech training. My Air Force specialty was as a Weapons System Control Specialist for the AC130 gunship so after 6 months of training, I ended up in sunny FT Walton Beach at Hurlburt Fld, the home of AF Special Ops. During that move I married that nice German girl. I was at Hurlburt Fld from 88-91. During that time I strove hard to finish my degree, but realized it would happen as quickly as I wanted. It became my aspiration to get a commision, but my age was becoming a barrier. I got out in 91 to attend Troy St. University at Troy AL and joined the AF ROTC program there. I earned a BA in Physical Science and received my commission in the summer of 93. My first duty station as a lieutenant was at Cannon AFB, NM. A dust hole is the best way to describe that experience. Unfortunately, it was too much for that nice German girl who suffered from severe homesickness so we ended up divorced. I spent two years (94-96) in New Mexico and left for an assigment to Wright Patterson AFB Ohio to attend the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT)to earn my masters in Logistics Management. I graduated in 97 and left for Maxwell AFB, AL. During my last few months in Ohio, I met someone over the internet (believe it or not)and we ended up married in 98. I am now the daddy of four stepchildren, ages 14,12,10,8, boy, girl, boy, girl and two dachshunds and a himalayan. I currently work at the Air Force Logistics Management Agency for HQ Air Force and have orders to go back to Germany (Ramstein)after 12 years of trying.

After graduation from WAHS, we moved back to the States, and that fall drove down to Melbourne, FL to go to college. Nice place, good people, 3 miles from the beach, and got the degree. After college, I moved to Augusta, GA for my first job with Westinghouse. The job was as an engineer at a chemical plant processing materials for the nuclear weapons "industry." Outside of work, I stayed busy, and it wasn't long before I met my (future) wife. After a couple years of wanting nothing to do with me, she finally decided that I was the one, and I wholeheartedly agreed! Frances Braswell and I were married on Nov. 19, 1993, and moved to North Augusta, SC, right across the river from Augusta. (Ben Vincent '85 made a surprise appearance at our wedding -- he was always good for surprises.) Fran is also an army brat, as it turns out. By 1995, I had had enough of my job with Westinghouse, and found another job at a chemical process engineer with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc at their local plant. This turned out to be a much better job, and stayed with it until about 3 months ago. In the meantime, Fran finished her degree in education and began teaching high school math. The biggest thing to happen in my life recently, however, occurred on August 6, 1999 -- our first child, Danielle Rebekah was born. Honestly, we don't know what we did for 6 years without her! She is very healthy, is beautiful (translation: she looks like her mother!), and is also very active. In fact, at this very moment she is trying to make me eat her carrot. A few months ago I decided to change jobs again, taking another process engineering job with a company called UCB-Chemicals Corp. They are Belgian-owned, and have their only US plant here in North Augusta. So far I enjoy it, but not nearly as much as I enjoy my family.

A lot has happened since high school...I attended the University of Maryland in Munich until it moved to Augsburg and got my associates degree. While in Augsburg I met a soldier named Richard Sutton, but didn't get married to him until 1996 (after dating for 4yrs..) In 1993, I moved back to the good ol' USA and attended several universities and worked and worked and worked. Finally, in 1996 I got my bachelors degree in communication. For those people who thought that I would major in theatre, I did until I tried to get a job in the "real world" and found it hard to do so with a bachelors degree in technical theatre (lighting, sound, scenery, props, etc...) and so I changed my degree my senior year of college. I have worked for one television station and two radio stations being a disk jockey. There's lots of other stuff that has happened in between all the years, but don't want to bore you with it. My husband is in the military and we are here in the middle of no where New Mexico. We both want to go back to Germany, but our chances are slim with his job. In September of 1999, I had a son named Paul Matthew Sutton. I also have a step son who is 17yrs. old named Josh. Currently, I am a full time Mommy, but I do some contracting work on the side with various agencies. I am always looking for theatre or television work, but out here in the middle of no where there isn't any work. If you want to get in contact with me email me at: pspsrsjs@aol.com

My best memories of WAHS are the theatre and all of the people who were involed in it. FLOM turning 40 and the signs that we made that GOD was turning 40 that day. A voice in the back of the auditorium during rehersals saying "Schmuck and YES" Going up to the Castle, going to the Fests, driving to Kitzigen, spending time with all of my great friends. (In the so called "real world" you can't come by friends as good as the ones that I had at WAHS) Thanks for all of the wonderful Memories!

I moved back to Illinois after graduation and decided to follow in my mother's footsteps and become a nurse. I married my husband Savas in 1994 in Nurnberg. We moved back to Evanston in 1995. I had a son on Christmas Eve 1998, his name is Laurent. I am lucky enough to have a job that I work only weekends in which I do 12 hour night shifts. My specialty area is cancer, specifically Bone Marrow Transplant. I am also planning on going back to school to be an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the fall.

After graduation, I went to Boston University -- where, on Day One, I met my husband to be, James Valentine. We married in '64 just before my junior year and shared "work" til graduation. The first letter we received after grad started "Greetings!" So he went to Navy OCS and entered EOD -- went to Vietnam in '68, was killed in '71. I moved to D.C. -- took job as press secretary to Californiua Congressman Bill "Ironass" Ketchum, wonderful guy, during Watergate, planning to stay for 2 years max. But as I always say, the job was like being paid to eat chocolate so strayed, ending up as press secretary and legislative diretor to Virginia's Senator John Warner (no, it was after Liz!) Finally "retired" in '95, just before marrying C. Robert Meloni, (Bob), an endocrinologist. Today I am administrator of a non-profit educational institute and also a free-lance writer, mostly about travel -- we just went around the world on (for me) a working cruise and are planning trip from Capetown to London next year. Wer're also about to move from Alexandria, VA (in October) to the Hershey, PA area -- the medical center there beckons. Would love to hear from Wolves past and present -- I have 2 e-,ail addresses: cmeloni@erols.com, and a new "trial number," traceymeloni@earthlink.net

After graduation, I went to Boston University where, on Day One, I met my to-be husband, James Rossiter Valentine (fell down the dorm stairs and landed in his lap) We married in '64 just before junior year for me -- first letter after college graduation began "Gretings!" Rather than be drafted he chose Navy OCS in Newport, RI -- went into EOD -- went to Vietnam in '68 -- was killed in '71. I moved to Washington, DC and took job as press secretary to California Congressman Bill "Ironass" Ketchum, a grand guy who drove a manure spattered pickup truck, during Watergate. Plan was to stay 2 years -- I finally "retired" in '95, at which time I was press secretary and legislative director to Virginia Senator John Warner (after Liz) -- the following March I re-married, Dr. C. Well, it's been a long road that has brought me to where I'm at, but a wonderful one that I would never change. I don't know if any of you remember me, but if you have doubts I was the one with a different color hair every month, and too many earrings!!!=) Seven days after graduation I departed for N.C., never wanted to actually be there, so I only stayed with my parents for about 3 months. I went on to my hometown in N.Y. after being in Germany for almost 4 years, it was a great homecoming. Needless to say I was quite wild for a few years(Thank God I got it out of my system), until my husband and I got together. We've known each other our whole lives...when I was about 8 yrs. old me and my best friend use to make "mud-pies" in her yard,Lenny(my husband),at 12 yrs. old use to pretend to taste them. Cute, huh. On June 25th of 1992 we went on our 1st date, and have been together ever since. We have a beautiful 6yr. old daughter, and a 4 yr. old son...both Christmas babies!!! We own a home on 2 acres in Auburn, Ga., about an hour northeast of Atlanta. My husband runs his own commercial & residential construction buisness, and I do hand-painted murals, sketch portraits, and one-a-kind paintings. around this time of year I slack off a bit from the art to design hand-made costumes. Both of my children are finally going to be in school this year, so I will have alittle more free...I would love to get in touch with some old friends. If you think you know me please write to DJYARASHEFSKI@AOL.COM I am in touch with John & Veronica(McNabb)Bernette, and Ricky Voisein(spelling?) Have also talked with Katari Heister. By the way Katari, I remember those Friday and Saturday nights very well too. It touches me to know that they were some of your best memories, as well as mine. Love ya Honey! There are some old friends that I believe were in the class of 90 that I would love to find...Ginger Joos, she was a trip! Also, Heather Bothwell, Margo Altman, and Michelle Hendrix. If anyone can help please write to DJYARASHEFSKI@AOL.COM THANKS, I'll be checking the board!

Well where do I start. When I graduated in 1980,I moved to California where I had planned to go to college. But money was tight and I couldn't quite afford it I joined the army instead.Ended up stationed at Ft Bliss,Tx,where I met my first husband. In 1982 we got transferred to Ansbach Germany. At that time I decided to get out because I was pregnant with my first child. In 1984 we finally got back to El Paso,Tx and from there moved close to Ft.Hood Texas,to a small town called Lampasas.I had 3 more children. They are now between 11-18 years old.Two boys and Two girls)I went to college and studied criminal justice, and became a police officer.I was divorced shortly after. Then I met a wonderful man,Jack, on the internet(yes, the internet)in a law enforcement chatroom, and we hit it off right away.He was a U.S. Marshall and a search and rescue pilot and was at that time in Albuquerque,NM.I decided that I simply could not live without him and moved to Albuquerque.I worked law enforcement there for one year until we decided to move back to Texas.Last year we were transferred to Reno Nevada, for a short period of time and hope to leave to go home to the Dallas/Ft Worth area REAL SOON.I have plans to get my masters in criminal justice and am working on a career as a criminal profiler. Also ,I have plans to study forensic science.Well other than that nothing interesting has happened in my life *LOL*.I lost track of EVERYONE once I left Wurzburg.

In a blue funk since December 1960 (when I left WAHS) until October 2000 when I followed Joanie Covington's advice to check out this web site. Hysterical glee since then; it is not a pretty sight in someone my age and weight. Lived, studied, worked, married the wrong one, divorced, worked some more, married the right one, retired from my job, had two children in San Francisco between February 1961 and May, 1988. We moved to heaven-on-Earth, otherwise known as Redmond, Washington, in 1988 and I started my new career as PTA and classroom volunteer mom. I currently have two daughters in high school and am up to my eyeballs in the drama department--doing Oliver this year; my daughter is Nancy, my husband is Mr. Bumble. Our drama teacher would kill for WAHS' stage. I am in contact with Andy Anderson from my year. I remember Bob Pettigrew, Eileen Emmanuel, Frances Cole and her sisters Mary Ann and Dotsy, Sidney who always used to run to classes with his brief case. The Girls PE teacher Sharon Clarke and her love life. The algebra teacher Ms. Lehman and her sun-glasses. Mrs. Harris the french teacher. Pedro Cruz--best buddy. The AYA trip to Paris. Dianne Nichols, Karen Braun, the Wuraburg Players presenting Damn Yankees in 1959--I have the playbill. What was the radio station--Luxembourg? Would love to hear from anyone from '58-'60. Does anyone remember German-American friendship week and carnival?

We lived in Schwienfurt. After graduation we landed in Augusta,Ga. I met and married a lovely Georgia girl, Cathy, we celebrate our 34th anniversary this November 11th. We had a wonderful daughter Nancy who has become a professor of mathmatics for Augusta Technical school. My career went from the bottom as a shipping clerk to Senior Distribution Center Manager for the largest manufacturer of filing supplies in the world. For a period of several years I managed the largest DC in the US for this company retiring in 1998. I was retired for 6 weeks when I found a job with a company that manages logistics for John Deere in Augusta. I commute from Mo to Ga as a Senior Tactical Analyst. Not to shabby for a Wurzburger with no college. The army brat life had a lot to do with my success. It made me more aggressive than I would have been. It also made me more responsible because my old man was not around all the time.

BestMemory

Many memories, Snow ball fights with truck drivers while waiting to be slid down the hill to Wurzburg, Sitting in DJK having a shared boot. Octoberfest, Most of the Senior Class Doing the bunny hop from the snack bar back to the school while the rest of the classes watched from the windows, stink bombs on the bus in the winter. AYA dances in Schwienfurt.

Life is never dull for a WAHS Wolf! After returning to the States after graduation I attended college and graduated with a nursing degree in 1994. I started working as an RN in October and have been moving right along ever since. In 1999 I sat for a certification exam for Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nursing (I help get people ready for anesthesia before surgery.) and was awarded CAPA. It was a hard test but I am glad that I did it! Next year I will be sitting for a critical care exam and hope to add four more letters after my name. But enough on that. What are letters anyway?? I am married to a wonderful man that I met in college named Mike. We have two children James and Emily. He is 9 and she is 4. Its a busy house with them and our two cats! I always said that I would never marry a man in the military and I didn't, however 6 months after our vows he made one to Uncle Sam and now we are at Ft Gordon, Home of the Signal Corps! Mike is a 31F which means he does something with telephones...hey he doesn't ask about nursing I don't ask about telephones! LOL. I have been very grateful to Bob and the people who maintain this website. By allowing me to find the people whom I had spent so much of my life with, grown and changed with, I have been able to have a full circle frendship. It has been great catching up with old friends and meeting families. Thank you for that!

My Best memory at WAHS happened as a freshman. I was sick for a lot of the year and ended up spending 3 months at Walter Reed AMC from November to January. I was afraid when I came back that I would have been forgotten or shunned. It isn't often that a 14 yo leaves becasue she has cancer and gets to return. When I got back there was hugs all a round and a HUGE card that was signed by all of my friends and classmates. That card has meant a lot to me and I still have it. Thanks to Ms. Fraiser's Honors World Regions class for making me feel ok again when I got back! And for helping me get to Russia with you all! Incase you are wondering yesterday the 8th of December was 12 years in remission.

I graduated NCSU with a Political Science Concentration in Law degree with the aspirations of going on to a great law school, but... I fell in love my Junior year, got engaged my senior year and married two weeks after I graduated NC State. While at State I meet some former WAHS students. I meet Ricky Harrell, Joel Horton, Cajon McDonald who all were attending State. During my Freshman year I was offered an Army ROTC scholarship which I took and during college I joined the Army Reserves which I still do today (HHC, 104th Inf. Div., Vancouver Barracks, Washington). My husband was also in the ARmy and after we got married we were immediately sent to Ft. Bragg, N.C. We lived there four years and during February 1995 we had a daughter, Michelle (now 5 1/2). Although I did not go to law school, I stayed in that field. I did research for different law firms in Fayetteville, NC. I also ran into May Lee Horton, Jenni Renner, Karen Pharis, Jay Cash and Nori Wendt while in Fayetteville. (I also saw Mike Slifer (as a Marine) while I was attending my Officer Basic Course at Ft. Lee, VA). From Fayetteville, we moved to South San Francisco for ten months and then to Vancouver, Washington. I worked as a Litigation Specialist for Freightliner Corporation for about three years while in Vancouver when in February 2000 I had my son (now 10 months), Jake. So now I am a stay at home mom with my two kids and still do my weekend stint with the reserves.

I wish at times that I would have been able to graduate from the old building but then I get to thinking ...that would have meant being overseas for another two years!!! I went to Austin Peay State University in Clarksville Tenn for a year after HS. Then one day while sitting in my dorm skipping another class I figured I better do SOMETHING . Anyone who rememebers my dad knows why . Yes He is still the same way ...." Boy... you better do something besides sit on your butt in life!" So I joined the NAVY for 6 years. I learned to run boilers and saw the other half (Far east , Australia etc) of the world. I got out in 91 and happily loaded up the truck to make my way across the country one final time to Atlanta . I can't believe I made that trip 9 times!! Did you know that in Shamrock Texas , their water tower leans from a tornado ? In Atlanta I had a few jobs and then in 93 I got married . Got divorced in 98.Got a job in 94 at The University of Alabama running boilers . It's a good job . During the winter we fire boilers and sit back and watch them run which leaves us with alot of time at work for things like ...oh let's say ...like filling out a bio for the school you once went to. :-/ Got remarried in 99 and we have a new son born in may of 2000. Scott is really a great little boy and daddy won't ever spoil him. We have two others that my wife Sonya had from previous marriage. THAT WILL BE ALL!!!!!!!! Nowadays it's fishing when I get a chance to go . Not much of a tide fan ( Georgia Bulldogs ) I see Mr. Henson-Lukas is still roaming the halls of Wurzburg....gees ......

I've lived several lifetimes since WAHS so I'll try to make it short... went to Kansas and attended Kansas State University (home of the purple and white wildcats) had a beautiful daughter by someone at wahs, gave her up for adoption. Spiraled into drugs and alcohol, attended beauty school, more drugs more alcohol... moved to Killeen TX, running away from life.... didn't work, met Chris, married him on new years eve 1989 (too many drugs LOL), attended Central Texas College grew up a little, moved back to Kansas, attended several community colleges to certify in every aspect of a nursing home. Worked as a med aid then several years as an activity director, grew up more, no more drugs. Husband recalled to desert storm, got pregnant, surprise, twins... grew up more, after 5 years of abuse, kicked out the bum January 2, 1994 (new years resolution), got divorced, started new life in Appleton, Wisconsin worked as a receptionist, sold sex toys on the side (true!), missed family, moved back to Kansas, managed a famous footwear, then after my best friend was killed I decided to slow down no more 70 hour work weeks, took a job with the Kansas Independent Auto Dealers Association. Basically do everything, including publishing a quarterly magazine (my yearbook experience paid off LOL) Work 8-5 no nights, no weekends. Took a huge cut in pay but someone is looking out for me because I got a $2.25/hr raise and my girls and I bought a mobile home late in 2000 . We are on our own, just the three of us. Teaching them to be strong independent women. Recieved pictures of my first daughter for the first time in 14 years (beautiful), found her dad and told him, what a shock for him!!! Look forward to the day she comes looking for me. Still looking for that "mr. right" think he got lost though... all in all life is good, and I still feel like I'm 19 thank goodness!!!

During my SF years I was a hippie chick and a middle-management type at Wells Fargo Bank--both at the same time. I am glad to see this website, and also sites like classmates.com--I just wish that more people from the early '60s would log on. We may be old, but we aren't THAT old! If anyone knows where Dianne Nichols or Monica Kowalewski is, please let me know.
Best Memory:  Football games and dances.

Lawton,OK
Education: Cameron University

I floated around after high school for a few years. Finally woke up and went to college, now I can't seem to stop going to school. I am now working for the Dept. of Rehabilitation Services as a counselor. I'm making plans to go back to school for a PhD. After flipping burgers while getting through school, all my jobs have been counseling related. I have 3 kids, Russell(13), Kylah (10), and Jordan (8). I'm married and enthusiastically happy (usually ;-). And no, I am not married to that soldier I was "in love" with in high school. See, there is a GOD, and he is GOOD.
Best Memory:  Graduation day. Does anyone else remember us handing the principal marbles as we shook his hand? After a while he started trying to give them back, we wouldn't take them, and they started falling out of his hand and rolling around the stage.

Cheryl A. McKinney
Class: 88
Los Angeles, CA
Education: B.S. Tennessee State University, M.A. New York University
Song: Yesterday - Boyz II Men to WAHS Class of '87, '88 & '90.
Date: Tuesday, March 13, 2001
In the fall of '88 I returned to the U.S. My mother escorted me to West Tennessee, to a small town called Jackson, this is where she left me; this town was both strange & familiar. I had lived in Jackson before, my families roots were there and many relatives remained but somehow it was strange. I now realize that it was I who had changed. I was different. So, there I was, this 17 year old kid, getting reacquainted with family & old friends. It was during my time there that I realized that I didn't fit, so the following year I moved to Nashville, TN and there I became a Tennessee State University Tiger! TSU is a historically black university nestled on the banks of the Cumberland River. It was there that I developed a sense of my identity as an African-American woman and really began to "dig" the skin I'm in - additionally, it was my first real experience being surrounded by so many different kinds of black people from different socioeconomic backgrounds. It was also the first time I had been surrounded by a beautiful assortment of black men. (smile) Needless to say, my time there was an amazing four years. I graduated with honors (imagine that?!?)from TSU with a degree in Speech Communications & Theatre emphasis in Radio & TV Production. I returned to Jackson and worked as an entertainment coordinator (data-entry) for The Jackson Sun Weekly Entertainment Guide. Although, I had my little newsroom desk and phone line, I continued to plot my escape. I then returned to Nashville and began working at Viacom cable as a Customer Service Rep. & later as a Junior Acct Exec. (Secretary). After a previous trip to New York in '93, I later decided, New York is where I needed to be and there I lived for 4 years in both Harlem & Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Four the next four years I would work in commercial production and televised live events (legit), when work in the entertainment business was slow, I worked in the financial industry (JP Morgan) performing a number of jobs in opertations. Some how I managed to get a M.A. from New York University and continued studying the craft of acting. I'm now living in Los Angeles, teaching 9th & 10th grade English (imagine that???). In the near future I'll be teaching 9th grade English & Drama$$$ and taking more acting classes, producing programming for CATV & attending a Writer's Conference on how to pitch sitcom ideas to network executives. I'm travelling to Jamaica in March 2001 & to Hawaii in May 2001. Although there have been a few men who've revolved in and out of my life, I have 0 kids and 0 husband which justifies my mobility & the fact that I can continue to entertain my flights of fancy.
Best Memory:  My Best memories are hanging out at the benches during nutrition and lunch-The trips to Nuremberg with the dance team and choir- Traveling to away games supporting our AAAA Champion basketball team- DYA Parties in Wuerzburg, Kitzigen & Schweinfurt- Getting called out of Ms. Lucas' Cosmetology class by the principal, doing a mental check of all of the things I could have possibly done wrong, only to find that I had won 1st place in a community-wide poetry competition. I also remember the long but sometimes entertaining daily bus ride to/from Wertheim. Oh! How could I forget? The Sex Jerks. However, my most recent and best memories are of hanging out in New York City with Ralph Jacob '88 and running into Quin B.'89 while walking down 5th Ave. (This boy has style and is as cute today as he was way back when.) I'll never forget it... I was walking up 5th Ave between 20th & 23rd St., and there was this cute guy with locs, I was so busy checking out his gear that I didn't notice the face, after we passed each other he turned around and pssst!...there he was standing in my face...Quin! OOOOhhhh!

We ended up in Louisiana and had our first daughter in 89. From there we moved to Georgia, Kentucky and finally Texas, where we had two more girls. The marriage was onesided for years and I finally got the courage to leave him in 2000, with the help of a very, very close friend. I am now living in Southern California with the man of my dreams. I figured that the Army was not the way to go, so I have found a man in the Navy this time. His name is Michael Partridge, and he was also from WAHS, class of 87. We met on the internet, actually he got my email address from this website. We plan on getting married very soon, sometime in 2001. Man, have I done a lot since my years in Germany. I tried college for a year at the University of Memphis, but it was a little too wild for me. I went into the US Air Force and worked in the intelligence field for awhile, but that wasn't me either. From there I traveled for about a year supposedly trying to find myself. I traveled from California to Atlanta and finally wound up here in Alaska. I now work for the US Fish and Wildlife Service and attend the University of Alaska working towards a degree in Elementary Education. DODDS school system, here I come!!! Still single with no kids, I just try to live each day better than the last, with GOD's guidance every step of the way. GOD BLESS all of you. You can email me at: cleopatra99518@gci.net.
Best Memory:  Graduation Day: the excitement and anxiety that all came along with it. Knowing where I was going as far as location and NOT knowing as far as direction in life. I left the very next day, so I was actually counting down the hours before I would leave Germany. I forgave people that I swore I wouldn't speak to forever, cried and laughed harder than I ever thought possible, and just thanked GOD I made it to that second major milestone in my life.

Monica (Herring) Maxwell
Class: 82
Phenix City,AL
Date: Wednesday, May 30, 2001
We moved to Ft. McClellan, AL after the 10th grade, so I didn't have the opportunity to graduate with my class. I finished up at an intolerable high school-Jacksonville, and went on to suffer at the "Friendliest" Campus in the South--Jacksonville State University. Graduated with a BA in English and Drama--did absolutely nothing with it, except fail miserably at a half-hearted attempt at stardom in California ( I guess I wasn't cut out for it). I went back to Mom and Pop (now affectionately called Oma and Opa) and got my Masters in Education and have been teaching at a middle school for the past (ugh) 9 years. This next year will be my last as I'm leaving teaching for the internet "gold rush." While teaching Drama (those who can't do--teach) :o) I met the love of my life--Victor Maxwell. A slightly older man with twin teenage boys at home and 2 older daughters(who at the time lived with their mother). My man has incredible vision and is part owner in a HUGE virtual mall. We also(I work closely with him as his trusted assistant) help set up individuals in their own e-commerce business. It has been quite a ride, and it keeps getting better. Life is good.
Best Memory:  Man, too many to pick just one. how about 2 trips to Spain with the Bad Kissingen DYA(WILD). Or the outrageous episodes on the bus--fighting with the bus drivers--insanity! Or wall-ball at the bus stop after school-brutal fun. Disco, disco, disco. We were always excited at the thought of getting back to the "world". SHORT 65 DAYS! Little did we know, huh?

Best Memory:  Prom, graduation, getting in a car wreck with Tanya Elder and Wallace Powell. (it was a close one) We can laugh at it now

Mike Shoemake
Class: 90
Cumming, GA
Date: Saturday, June 16, 2001
After graduation, I spent 5 years flying through college... When I was there I met Susan Smith (not the one who killed her kids). We basically knew we would get married a few months after we met. I graduated with a computer degree and moved to Jackson MS. I worked there for 3 years, got bored, figured out there was NOTHING for computer people in MS, and moved to Atlanta GA (Susan came with me, thank God). I'm doing internet development now.
We don't have any kids right now, but we do have a half cocker/half miniature collie. I still play guitar (mostly for churches and their teenagers now) and I lead a band that plays for the high school kids on Wednesday nights. Everything is great and we're having a blast in the Atlanta area. We bought a house in Cumming GA last year.
Best Memory:  The whole "WAHS" thing. All of it. I've gotten pretty detached from high school folks over the last few years but I'm reminded often of the joys of being pregnant on Halloween, traveling with drama people who were goofier than I was, and learning how to fall on my face as a musician and still walk around the school the next day.

LYN WHILDEN EVANS
Class: 64
BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON
Date: Monday, June 18, 2001
Left Wertheim the summer of 62. Dad retired and we returned to our home in Bucks County, Pa where I graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Levittown, Pa. Went to work in Trenton, New Jersey taking accounting classes at night at Mercer County Jr. College. Was a legal secretary for those years in Trenton. Married in 1968, divorced in 1970. Moved to McAllen , Tx. Worked for Mental Health and Mental Retardation in Edinborough writing grants and attended Pan American University. Got a call from the President of the land division of Occidental Petroleum looking for an assistant in Newport Beach, California. Jumped at the idea and settled down on Balboa Island for a few years. Married and went into Real Estate in Newport Beach and started a family. Noelle, my first daughter was born in 1975. Newport Beach didn't seem like a place to raise children so we moved our Real Estate Business to Bellevue, Washington and set up housekeeping in Woodinville, a small rural bedroom community north and east of Seattle. Chrissy, my second daughter was born in 1977 and I had twin boys, Jon and Dave in 1981. I was privileged to be at home for my children and did the mom thing, serving on PTA boards, Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader, and served on various non-profit boards. Divorced in 1994 and started my own accounting business. Noelle graduated from Washington State University and now teaches 5th graders. Chrissy graduated from University of Evansville in Evansville, Ind with a major in Theater Arts. She is now busy trying to pursue a career in that field. She married in 1999. My boys have just completed their first year of college and are at this moment in time hiking somewhere in Glacier National Park in Montana.
Back to me, I remarried in 1999. My husband Ron Evans and I own a small pump distributorship in Fishermen's terminal in Seattle. Its a very colorful and fun business. We happily live in Bellevue, Wa and enjoy traveling, hottubing and each other. Life is very sweet!
Best Memory:  Memories? Hanging out at the AYA in Wertheim listening and dancing to LaBamba and Sea Cruise and long bus rides to school. I remember a great day skipping school with Tracey Edgerly and the Summer sisters and spending the day at Marionbad.

Richard Buller
Class: 82
Grossostheim, Germany and Killeen, Texas
After graduating in '82 we moved to Aberdeen, MD where I just worked for a year. Then it was off to Texas Tech where I spent the next six years playing rugby and drinking and messing around in grad school, and I almost forgot I graduated with a BS in Industrial Engineering. January 91, I was off to Coburg, Germany as an engineer for Brose an auto parts supplier. 1 ½ yrs. later I was in Frankfurt at KPMG (public accounting), playing rugby again. In 95 I passed the CPA exam. I went to work as Financial Controller for a German subsidiary of Magna (Canadian auto parts) for a year. Boring! So in 98 I went to Coopers & Lybrand, (public accounting), now PwC. I worked in the Corporate Finance department. 1999 it was Mergers & Acquisitions in Frankfurt and then Toronto, Canada for a year in 2000. Canada is awesome! They have real beer and rugby. 2000 I passed the Chartered Financial Analyst exam and hold the CFA charter. 2001 saw an offer roll in from a small Investment Bank (M&A) in Germany.

Joseph Putz
Class: 76
Sumner Washington
After graduating I returned to Washington to wait for an opening in the Air Foce air traffic control school. I served 12 years as a controller and left the AF in 1988 for a job with the FAA. I now am an ATC supervisor at the Seattle Air Route Traffic Control Center. Two marriages produced a boy and a girl. My daughter is attending college to pursue a career in ATC and my son is 15. I am currently divorced and enjoying life. Some of my favorite memories are Frank Meyers and I mooning the East German guards from the window of the train on the way to play Berlin in soccer. Going to the AYA, and some of the best field trips in the world such as going to Austria and Italy over Easter vacation and going to Austria on a tennis/ski trip with Herr Kleeman. Did I mention the girls!!

Tamara Lopez Navarrete
Class: 91
Kenosha, WI
Went to college in Savannah, GA. Then married High School sweetheart Brad Pike. He joined the army and we went to Germany. Had 2 beautiful children, Julia and Cristian, now 7 and 5. Brad ETS'ed and we moved to his home state of North Carolina where we went our separate ways within a year of moving stateside. Since then life brought me to this area. I now work as a Buyer for several companies in the trucking industry, helping to maintain the costs of our fleets. Who would have thought I would play with numbers for a living when all who remember me knew I always had my nose in a book?? I have also remarried. His name is Tomas. We have another beautiful baby named Joanna. I have fond memories of high school. Sometimes I wish I could go back, now that I know what real life can be like, especially when my worries back then were only about passing a test and maintaining that GPA and getting caught kissing in the hall. BUT - now I have 3 awesome children, a family and career of my own to take care of, it is impossible to imagine anything more satisfying...

Harold Milton
Class: 77
Littleton, CO
Graduated from Andress High in El Paso,TX after coming in 2nd in the state @ 98lbs (thanks Mr. Sellers!!)!! Tried UTEP for 2 semesters but decided I needed out of the desert! Joined the US Navy in 78 and moved to San Diego for 10 years (I saw Tony Silock and kept up with Ron and Tony Roberts for a few years). Asked for and recieved a transfer to Japan in '87 where I met my beautiful wife. I still find it strange that I went all the way to Japan to marry someone from L.A. We've been married 11 years but they've been rough! We're still here but who knows by reunion time!!  (Shauna, Lori, Angie watch out!!):)After leaving the Navy in '90, we moved to Guam to dodge the recession. That worked until we decided to become more of a part of my stepson's life as he started high school. Moved back to CONUS in '93 and I needed to go where I could focus on getting my A and P license so we moved to Denver, CO. Got the license, worked for American (AMR Combs) for about 5 minutes and decided I loved working on airplanes for 12 years but it's way different in "the real world" and I hated it!! Started getting various licenses and certifications to run various commercial and residential properties. Did that for about 4 years. Did the quick karma clean by becoming the operations manager for Catholic Charities' homeless shelter here in Denver for 2 years and decided I had to make money or I'd become a resident soon. I now own and operate my own business called The Maintenance Guru. It's only me but I have a great boss!! Favorite memory: Though it was teasing me, I never laughed as hard a when we went to a football game and Vic King and "Buda" told every one that the little bumps under my eyes formed cause a monkey peed on my face and I got the nic name "Monkey bumps"

Pat (Vozel) Clauss
Class: 63
Vero Beach, FL
Stayed in Germany 2 years after graduation. My dad had two more years so I decided to stay and explore. We moved to Hanau during the summer of 63 and I worked, and traveled all over Germany on weekends. Upon returning to the states, stayed in NJ a few months, found it not to my liking so moved to SF for a couple years. On to Hawaii for 9 years. Got married in Hawaii - that lasted just over 4 years, no children. Headed for Anchorage, Alaska where I met my second husband. Worked for Ingersoll-Rand there during the wind-down of the building of the pipeline. Exciting times in Alaska. Left there in 79 and headed to Santa Fe, NM. What a great city!! On to El Paso, TX (my second husband worked for civil service & we moved a lot). Our one and only child (a beautiful 20 year old daughter) was born there. On to Puerto Rico for 3 years (great times there). From PR to Orangeburg, SC. Beautiful place to live. The second marriage fell apart there & my daughter and I moved to Vero Beach, Fl to be near family (my mom and sister live here). Have been very happy here and life gets better and better. I have great memories of WHS. Lived in Wurzburg from 57 - 60 so attended there during freshman year. My dad was sent back to Germany in 62 and we were in Kitzingen that time. Once again at WHS for my senior year. Great friends and memories from both times.

I've been successful and you just can't beat living and working in arguably the greatest city in the world. Any one interested can reach me at kjordan212@aol.com

My brother Dale was friends with Tim Carlton, and I think he was going with Cathy Kelly when we went back to the states. I think she lived in the same bldg. that we did. Ron Armenta
Class: 92
Frozen tundra of Minot,  North Dakota
ell, where do I begin? On Feb 27 1993 I joined the Air Force as part of a the Security Forces test program which was not anything special they just wanted to see if combining Sec. Specialists with SP’s would work. They thought it did so happened the birth of Sec. Forces which is a glorified grunt that works as a military police function during day to day operations with many additional contingency taskings such as Air base Defense, anti-terrorism, counter-terrorism, and counter-drug operations. On July 26 1993, I married my high-school sweetheart Dawn Yvette Rico. Only those who worked at BK would remember her!!! She studied at the University of Maryland and decided to come to Europe and study since her sister lived in Wurzburg. Yes, I am four years younger than she is!!!! We moved to San Angelo TX where my Beautiful Daughter Victoria Mercedes was born on Sept 9th and where I worked for Air Intelligence Agency for until December 94. I was transferred to Howard AFB Republic of Panama where I ended up working counter-drug operations for 5 years this experience changed my life forever!! On Jun 18 1998 my son Ronald III was born. I missed most of his first due to my job. Well, after much sacrificed, mainly my family life I was transferred to Minot where my lovely wife got fed up with the Military life and left. In Dec I am PCSing to Korea for a year and then I am getting out. Since I left WAHS I have continued with my art and my quest to be a musician I will never forget how Mr. Tucker and J.D. tried to teach me to play guitar to no avail. Even-though they couldn't teach me at the time they served as my inspiration to play. I have been in a couple of bands since then. Right now I'm in this Punk band called Crimes Of The Conspiracy. We just cut a Demo for Interscope records they are the parent company of Nothing records. I don't like the direction the band's music is going so I have been thinking of quitting and starting my own band, any takers? Well, for now I am going to stick this out, we may even become famous who knows? With all the changes in my life lately I have had time to reflect, return to my roots, and realize how much I miss everybody I knew WAHS even those who really didn't like me back then. God Bless the Class of 92 and WAHS!!!

I also met my wife Roxanne of four& 1/2 years, we have no children (yet). I was also fortunate enough to earn a commission as a 2LT in the U.S. Army (King of Battle - that's Field Artillery to you none Army types). I am now a 1LT(P) in the Kentucky ARNG (yes, it takes a little longer in the reserves). I then earned Masters in Computer Science from Miami University in '99. I now work for a pharmaceutical company as an Analyst. I'm currently completing an MBA god willing. If you remember me, contact me at crd1906@netscape.net.

Lynda (Baldwin) Crooms
Class: 87
Lawton, OK
After WAHS, I followed my "true love" all over the country until I woke up at 21 and returned home to Oklahoma (with our 2 kids). I started college and worked a long succession of bad jobs, sometimes two at a time. I got married. I have a total of 3 kids. I finished school (B.S. in Psychology). Went to work for the state, and continued in school (M.S.in Behavioral Sciences). I am now working as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. I am back in school working towards a PhD. I am also teaching undergraduate classes part time. I guess I never got that struggling, workaholic thing out of my system. I would love to hear from some of you guys. Feel free to email me at Prowd2be@aol.com

Hey since I Left Kitzingen so much has happened. I attended BSU and studied law. Then i Got into medicine, and now work for the Department of Defense in Boise. I also own my own Bail Bonding Company. In my spare time I am an advocate for abused and neglected children. I have one son named Troy who is almost 15. I married an Airman, and divorced when Troy was only 6 weeks old. Going to Troys football games (Varsity) reminds me of cheering for the DYA and all the bus rides to the games. The other day I Was listening to an oldies station and heard Reunited, talk about memories....I miss the parties at Flicks house, i miss going to the disco techs, I Miss trips to Munich, volksmarches, the saturday night dances, the bus rides to and from school...I guess I just miss taking the time to have fun...life now is one big rush to get things done, with only 24 hours in a day, and 72 hours worth of stuff to get done, no time for anything other then work. I Look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Ron Armenta
Class: 92
Frozen tundra of Minot, North Dakota
Well, where do I begin? In August of 1993 we moved to San Angelo TX. While stationed at Goodfellow, AFB, I worked for Air Intelligence Agency. On Sept 9th, 1994 my beautiful daughter Victoria Mercedes was born. In December 94, I was transferred to Howard AFB, Republic of Panama where I ended up working counter-drug operations for the next 5 years. This experience changed my life forever!! On Jun 18 1998 my son Ronald III was born. I missed most of his firsts due to my job. Well, in Dec 99 after much sacrificed, mainly my family life I was transferred to Minot where I’ve been living without them ever since. In Dec 2001, I am PCSing to Korea for a year and then I am planning to get out. Now who knows??? Since I left WAHS I have continued with my art and my quest to be a musician I will never forget how Mr. Tucker and J.D. Louviere tried to teach me to play guitar to no avail. Even-though they couldn't teach me at the time they served as my inspiration to play. I have been in a couple of bands since then. Right now I'm in this Punk band called Crimes of the Conspiracy. We cut a Demo for Interscope records in July 2001, they are the parent company of Nothing records. I don't like the direction the band's music is going so I have been thinking of quitting and starting my own band, any takers? Well, for now I am going to stick this out, and wait and see how this all turns out. For now my own band project will be on the side. It is funny how things come full circle when I was at Wurzburg, I couldn’t wait to leave and get out on my own and now I miss it more everyday. WAHS was a family and still is. Wolf Pride Never Dies!!!!

Hi everyone! After graduation in 93 I decided to try out college for a semester and as everyone new, especially Mr. Flom, I was not ready. I promptly joined the Army as a 98G which ended up being a Chinese Linguist/Voice Interceptor. I spent 4 years in the Army finishing up my time in Hawaii. While I was on active duty I finished 3 years of college so I decided to attend Indiana University for my last year. I graduated with my BA in East Asian Languages and Literature with minors in Business and Economics in May of 1999. At that time I got the law school bug so I decided to stay at Indiana University to earn my law degree. 2 years into the program I decided to add a Masters Degree in Comparitive International Public Affairs and Public Policy. I will be finished with my Doctorate and my Masters in May of 2003. I've really come a long way since my days in Wurzburg. Who Knew??? I would love to hear from any one who remembers me. John C. Courtney

After toiling through a few mundane business ventures, I should have known better, but I joined the Army anyway. Four years (89-93) of Airborne Infantry was enough! I worked as an estimator for a number of construction companies for the next 5 years before getting into the nightclub business in 1998. Somehow the nightlife brought me to Vegas. When I sit back and daydream of those precious days gone by, Wertheim is always the setting.

Class: 94
Kaposvar, Hungary
Well....high school, Bachelors, and now AAFES- am loving my life with AAFES as part of their deployed contingency team. Have been supporting Operation Joint Forge and Guardian for the past 6 months in Camp Eagle Base, McGovern, Morgan, Comanche, Coyote Station, Butmir, Taszar, and Ilica, and currently in Camp Taszar, Hungary running this beautiful store. Am on the list to get pulled for Operation Enduring Freedom- no, I'm not military. But I do get to run around on C-130s, hang out of helicopters while snapping cool digital pictures (with the pilot's permission of course), and drive Land Cruisers while making sure the PX's have all the merchandise our soldiers need to make their deployments a little easier. DOD Civilian with wonderful benefits and no taxes. TAKE THAT IRS!!! But...am listening to Mom's advice and attempting to "STAY OUT OF AFGHANISTAN LISA MARIE!" Deployment life isn't really too terrible. The DFAC is wonderful, the gym is great (working out 6 days a week- going after a Lara Croft look YOU GO MUSCLE&FITNESS HERS!), and everything is within walking distance. Always wished I had stayed in the dorms longer in college and now am getting my second chance! EVEN HAVE SOMEONE TO DO ALL MY LAUNDRY FOR ME!!!! Obtaining TWO masters degree via the internet from accredited universities in Strategic Leadership and Emergency Management. I will never forget where I was September 11th. Stuck in Ramstein in an offpost hotel en route from a conference in yes-Wurzburg- to Sarajavo, Bosnia and watching the horror unfold on CNN. My heart saddedned yet swelled with pride as America reached it's finest hours helping and comforting one another in their search for life. This life is short. Love Christ and God through him. He'll take care of everything if you let him!

Melanie Davis
Class: 90
Rockford, Illinois
I moved to several states since WAHS. The first state was Georgia. There I worked at Mcdonalds as a clown (I did Birthday parties). I wasn't there for very long because, I then moved back to El Paso, Tx. There I didn't do too much because I was only living there for six months. The next state was Florida. There I worked as a housekeeper (good tips, not do good of a job), Mcdonalds (it was a better one than the one in Georgia, okay so I liked my coworkers) and Kmart(okay, so I didn't do too much fun work wise). In 1995, I moved up here to Rockford, Illinois. Here I began working at Kmart (Transfered from Florida) and then into the factories (I hated them). I also worked for Office Max for a couple of years(as an all around salesperson,we actually couldn't figure out what I did). In 1999 I started working for Landstar and I have been here for almost three years. I have also been going to College. I still haven't figured out what I want to major in, but I still have plenty of time. Actually I can't decide between English or Theatre. I stared in a Shakespeare play during the summer and I had a ball. I played the Abbess in "Comedy of Errors" and I am hoping to be able to continue my acting career in the next upcoming plays. My best memories of WAHS are very few. They are Mrs. Verney's class, the plays and all of my friends.

Paul Moorman
Class: 94
Houston, TX
I left WAHS after my junior year to live one last year with my dad back in Corpus Christi, TX, before going off to college. My mom is still living and working in Germany to this day, but is now at the Patrick Henry Elementary in Heidelberg rather than W-burg. My high school soccer team in Corpus Christi made it to the private school's 2A Texas State Final Four, but my best soccer memories will always be from my junior year at WAHS when we made it to the All-Europe Championship.
In the fall of 1994, I moved to Austin to become a Longhorn at the University of Texas. I spent two years studying computer science, but decided I did not want to earn my living going blind while debugging code. I switched gears completely and ended up earning a degree in German Studies with a minor in Communications in December of 1998. After playing on the UT men's club soccer team my freshman year, I went on to pledge ATO and also became a member of one of the University's most presitigious organizations, the UT Silver Spurs. In return for being dedicated to various campus and community projects, the UT Silver Spurs have the honor of caring for and presenting the school mascot, BEVO at UT sporting events and other functions. It is safe to say that I became a college football junkie despite my passion for the other futbol, and I would not trade my experiences at UT for anything in the world. Last but certainly not least, UT was also the place where I was blessed to meet my wife of a little over one year now, Andrea. We dated for about 3 years before getting married in August of 2000 and have been living in Houston, TX ever since.
Here in Houston, I work as a publishing consultant at area colleges and universities for McGraw-Hill Higher Education, and I am loving every minute of it. It is primarily a sales job, but I also search for new authors and assist faculty with new distance learning technologies. If interested, you can learn a little more about what I do by visiting http://pmoorman.pageout.net.
To this day, Chris Pryor remains one of my best friends, and I am planning to get him to post his bio here when I go to visit him in Mississippi in a couple of weeks. It would be great to hear from any of you others out there as well!

After graduation, stayed in Schweinfurt for about a year and a half, left in Oct 99 to WA where my father was transferred to. After 4 months, I left to visit my sister Amparo Cortez (in the Navy stationed in NAVSTA Puerto Rico). I lived with her for 9 months, then moved to Dover, DE and have lived there since. I haven't done much with my life since high school, still trying to find out what I want to do in life (instead of just bumming) I might just end up again in WA state either living or visiting with my parents. I'm a rebel against my parents, don't ant to hear and listen to their crap, so as I have said before... don't really know where I'll end up at. You know me... I'm stubborn as a mule and basically just full of shit! One day, I will eventually make my parents happy and proud of me.
