Moved to Texas. Partied all the time. Went to college, passed state licensing for real estate. Didn't like selling. Worked for a doctor(chiropractic). Got married, party life came to a screeching halt. Had a beautiful son. Husband is a Major of Corrections, tried to work at a prison. Got the hell out of there. Went back into the medical field. Thought about having another child. Not!!! One was expensive enough. Have a dog and cat instead. Don't have much of a life. We are great parents, I have all my family around, my dad's in heaven watching over me, I'm about to celebrate our 10th wedding anniverssary. We are the only couple still together out of all our friends. I enjoy life and miss my years in Germany and my friends tremendously. I have great memories that warm my heart.

Bio

AFter graduation in 82, I attended U of M at Munich. After 2 fine years there, majoring in Fine Arts, I returned to Wertheim and looked for a job. Ended up working as a GS04 at the Furnishings Branch of the Housing Office. By a stroke of (bad?) luck, I ended up being the man in charge of the branch when the manager up and quit. All that responsibility thrust upon me changed my life forever. In 1987, I had to leave the job as I was no longer a dependent (23 by that point). I wanted to marry my then girlfriend, a nice German girl who lived next door. So I decided to enlist in the Air Force, reporting to Basic Training at Lackland AFB, TX, March 88. During those 6 weeks of Basic, I wondered what the hell was I doing there, but I did survive to go on to Denver for Tech training. My Air Force specialty was as a Weapons System Control Specialist for the AC130 gunship so after 6 months of training, I ended up in sunny FT Walton Beach at Hurlburt Fld, the home of AF Special Ops. During that move I married that nice German girl. I was at Hurlburt Fld from 88-91. During that time I strove hard to finish my degree, but realized it would happen as quickly as I wanted. It became my aspiration to get a commision, but my age was becoming a barrier. I got out in 91 to attend Troy St. University at Troy AL and joined the AF ROTC program there. I earned a BA in Physical Science and received my commission in the summer of 93. My first duty station as a lieutenant was at Cannon AFB, NM. A dust hole is the best way to describe that experience. Unfortunately, it was too much for that nice German girl who suffered from severe homesickness so we ended up divorced. I spent two years (94-96) in New Mexico and left for an assigment to Wright Patterson AFB Ohio to attend the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT)to earn my masters in Logistics Management. I graduated in 97 and left for Maxwell AFB, AL. During my last few months in Ohio, I met someone over the internet (believe it or not)and we ended up married in 98. I am now the daddy of four stepchildren, ages 14,12,10,8, boy, girl, boy, girl and two dachshunds and a himalayan. I currently work at the Air Force Logistics Management Agency for HQ Air Force and have orders to go back to Germany (Ramstein)after 12 years of trying.

After graduation from WAHS, we moved back to the States, and that fall drove down to Melbourne, FL to go to college. Nice place, good people, 3 miles from the beach, and got the degree. After college, I moved to Augusta, GA for my first job with Westinghouse. The job was as an engineer at a chemical plant processing materials for the nuclear weapons "industry." Outside of work, I stayed busy, and it wasn't long before I met my (future) wife. After a couple years of wanting nothing to do with me, she finally decided that I was the one, and I wholeheartedly agreed! Frances Braswell and I were married on Nov. 19, 1993, and moved to North Augusta, SC, right across the river from Augusta. (Ben Vincent '85 made a surprise appearance at our wedding -- he was always good for surprises.) Fran is also an army brat, as it turns out. By 1995, I had had enough of my job with Westinghouse, and found another job at a chemical process engineer with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc at their local plant. This turned out to be a much better job, and stayed with it until about 3 months ago. In the meantime, Fran finished her degree in education and began teaching high school math. The biggest thing to happen in my life recently, however, occurred on August 6, 1999 -- our first child, Danielle Rebekah was born. Honestly, we don't know what we did for 6 years without her! She is very healthy, is beautiful (translation: she looks like her mother!), and is also very active. In fact, at this very moment she is trying to make me eat her carrot. A few months ago I decided to change jobs again, taking another process engineering job with a company called UCB-Chemicals Corp. They are Belgian-owned, and have their only US plant here in North Augusta. So far I enjoy it, but not nearly as much as I enjoy my family.

A lot has happened since high school...I attended the University of Maryland in Munich until it moved to Augsburg and got my associates degree. While in Augsburg I met a soldier named Richard Sutton, but didn't get married to him until 1996 (after dating for 4yrs..) In 1993, I moved back to the good ol' USA and attended several universities and worked and worked and worked. Finally, in 1996 I got my bachelors degree in communication. For those people who thought that I would major in theatre, I did until I tried to get a job in the "real world" and found it hard to do so with a bachelors degree in technical theatre (lighting, sound, scenery, props, etc...) and so I changed my degree my senior year of college. I have worked for one television station and two radio stations being a disk jockey. There's lots of other stuff that has happened in between all the years, but don't want to bore you with it. My husband is in the military and we are here in the middle of no where New Mexico. We both want to go back to Germany, but our chances are slim with his job. In September of 1999, I had a son named Paul Matthew Sutton. I also have a step son who is 17yrs. old named Josh. Currently, I am a full time Mommy, but I do some contracting work on the side with various agencies. I am always looking for theatre or television work, but out here in the middle of no where there isn't any work. If you want to get in contact with me email me at: pspsrsjs@aol.com

My best memories of WAHS are the theatre and all of the people who were involed in it. FLOM turning 40 and the signs that we made that GOD was turning 40 that day. A voice in the back of the auditorium during rehersals saying "Schmuck and YES" Going up to the Castle, going to the Fests, driving to Kitzigen, spending time with all of my great friends. (In the so called "real world" you can't come by friends as good as the ones that I had at WAHS) Thanks for all of the wonderful Memories!

I moved back to Illinois after graduation and decided to follow in my mother's footsteps and become a nurse. I married my husband Savas in 1994 in Nurnberg. We moved back to Evanston in 1995. I had a son on Christmas Eve 1998, his name is Laurent. I am lucky enough to have a job that I work only weekends in which I do 12 hour night shifts. After graduation, I went to Boston University -- where, on Day One, I met my husband to be, James Valentine. We married in '64 just before my junior year and shared "work" til graduation. The first letter we received after grad started "Greetings!" So he went to Navy OCS and entered EOD -- went to Vietnam in '68, was killed in '71. I moved to D.C. -- took job as press secretary to Californiua Congressman Bill "Ironass" Ketchum, wonderful guy, during Watergate, planning to stay for 2 years max. But as I always say, the job was like being paid to eat chocolate so strayed, ending up as press secretary and legislative diretor to Virginia's Senator John Warner (no, it was after Liz!) Finally "retired" in '95, just before marrying C. Robert Meloni, (Bob), an endocrinologist. Today I am administrator of a non-profit educational institute and also a free-lance writer, mostly about travel -- we just went around the world on (for me) a working cruise and are planning trip from Capetown to London next year. Wer're also about to move from Alexandria, VA (in October) to the Hershey, PA area -- the medical center there beckons. After graduation, I went to Boston University where, on Day One, I met my to-be husband, James Rossiter Valentine (fell down the dorm stairs and landed in his lap) We married in '64 just before junior year for me -- first letter after college graduation began "Gretings!" Rather than be drafted he chose Navy OCS in Newport, RI -- went into EOD -- went to Vietnam in '68 -- was killed in '71. I moved to Washington, DC and took job as press secretary to California Congressman Bill "Ironass" Ketchum, a grand guy who drove a manure spattered pickup truck, during Watergate. Plan was to stay 2 years -- I finally "retired" in '95, at which time I was press secretary and legislative director to Virginia Senator John Warner (after Liz) -- the following March I re-married, Dr. C. Well, it's been a long road that has brought me to where I'm at, but a wonderful one that I would never change. I don't know if any of you remember me, but if you have doubts I was the one with a different color hair every month, and too many earrings!!!=) Seven days after graduation I departed for N.C., never wanted to actually be there, so I only stayed with my parents for about 3 months. I went on to my hometown in N.Y. after being in Germany for almost 4 years, it was a great homecoming. Needless to say I was quite wild for a few years(Thank God I got it out of my system), until my husband and I got together. We've known each other our whole lives...when I was about 8 yrs. old me and my best friend use to make "mud-pies" in her yard,Lenny(my husband),at 12 yrs. old use to pretend to taste them. Cute, huh. On June 25th of 1992 we went on our 1st date, and have been together ever since. We have a beautiful 6yr. old daughter, and a 4 yr. old son...both Christmas babies!!! We own a home on 2 acres in Auburn, Ga., about an hour northeast of Atlanta. My husband runs his own commercial & residential construction buisness, and I do hand-painted murals, sketch portraits, and one-a-kind paintings. around this time of year I slack off a bit from the art to design hand-made costumes. Both of my children are finally going to be in school this year, so I will have alittle more free...I would love to get in touch with some old friends. If you think you know me please write to DJYARASHEFSKI@AOL.COM I am in touch with John & Veronica(McNabb)Bernette, and Ricky Voisein(spelling?) Have also talked with Katari Heister. By the way Katari, I remember those Friday and Saturday nights very well too. It touches me to know that they were some of your best memories, as well as mine. Love ya Honey! There are some old friends that I believe were in the class of 90 that I would love to find...Ginger Joos, she was a trip! Also, Heather Bothwell, Margo Altman, and Michelle Hendrix. If anyone can help please write to DJYARASHEFSKI@AOL.COM THANKS, I'll be checking the board!

Well where do I start. When I graduated in 1980,I moved to California where I had planned to go to college. But money was tight and I couldn't quite afford it I joined the army instead.Ended up stationed at Ft Bliss,Tx,where I met my first husband. In 1982 we got transferred to Ansbach Germany. At that time I decided to get out because I was pregnant with my first child. In 1984 we finally got back to El Paso,Tx and from there moved close to Ft.Hood Texas,to a small town called Lampasas.I had 3 more children. They are now between 11-18 years old.Two boys and Two girls)I went to college and studied criminal justice, and became a police officer.I was divorced shortly after. Then I met a wonderful man,Jack, on the internet(yes, the internet)in a law enforcement chatroom, and we hit it off right away.He was a U.S. Marshall and a search and rescue pilot and was at that time in Albuquerque,NM.I decided that I simply could not live without him and moved to Albuquerque.I worked law enforcement there for one year until we decided to move back to Texas.Last year we were transferred to Reno Nevada, for a short period of time and hope to leave to go home to the Dallas/Ft Worth area REAL SOON.I have plans to get my masters in criminal justice and am working on a career as a criminal profiler. Also ,I have plans to study forensic science.Well other than that nothing interesting has happened in my life *LOL*.I lost track of EVERYONE once I left Wurzburg.

In a blue funk since December 1960 (when I left WAHS) until October 2000 when I followed Joanie Covington's advice to check out this web site. Hysterical glee since then; it is not a pretty sight in someone my age and weight. Lived, studied, worked, married the wrong one, divorced, worked some more, married the right one, retired from my job, had two children in San Francisco between February 1961 and May, 1988. We moved to heaven-on-Earth, otherwise known as Redmond, Washington, in 1988 and I started my new career as PTA and classroom volunteer mom. I currently have two daughters in high school and am up to my eyeballs in the drama department--doing Oliver this year; my daughter is Nancy, my husband is Mr. Bumble. Our drama teacher would kill for WAHS' stage. I am in contact with Andy Anderson from my year. I remember Bob Pettigrew, Eileen Emmanuel, Frances Cole and her sisters Mary Ann and Dotsy, Sidney who always used to run to classes with his brief case. The Girls PE teacher Sharon Clarke and her love life. The algebra teacher Ms. Lehman and her sun-glasses. Mrs. Harris the french teacher. Pedro Cruz--best buddy. The AYA trip to Paris. Dianne Nichols, Karen Braun, the Wuraburg Players presenting Damn Yankees in 1959--I have the playbill. What was the radio station--Luxembourg? Would love to hear from anyone from '58-'60. Does anyone remember German-American friendship week and carnival?

Well, went to school for a couple of years in Indiana...enjoyed life outside of classes too much and decided to spare my parents the private school tuition costs! Moved to South Carolina and finished school there...met my wonderful husband, Steve, on a summer trip to Seattle, and we got married just before I finished grad school. We have a beautiful 22 month-old son, Alexander, who makes us appreciate the important things in life. We have been in Seattle for almost two years, and will make the Pacific Northwest our home. We lived in Schwienfurt. After graduation we landed in Augusta,Ga. I met and married a lovely Georgia girl, Cathy, we celebrate our 34th anniversary this November 11th. We had a wonderful daughter Nancy who has become a professor of mathmatics for Augusta Technical school. My career went from the bottom as a shipping clerk to Senior Distribution Center Manager for the largest manufacturer of filing supplies in the world. For a period of several years I managed the largest DC in the US for this company retiring in 1998. I was retired for 6 weeks when I found a job with a company that manages logistics for John Deere in Augusta. I commute from Mo to Ga as a Senior Tactical Analyst. Not to shabby for a Wurzburger with no college. The army brat life had a lot to do with my success. It made me more aggressive than I would have been. It also made me more responsible because my old man was not around all the time.

Many memories, Snow ball fights with truck drivers while waiting to be slid down the hill to Wurzburg, Sitting in DJK having a shared boot. Octoberfest, Most of the Senior Class Doing the bunny hop from the snack bar back to the school while the rest of the classes watched from the windows, stink bombs on the bus in the winter. AYA dances in Schwienfurt.
