I am still teaching at WAHS but plan to retire on June 15, 2007.  Shelly and I will be moving to Puyallup, WA for the summers and Gainesville, FL for the winters.  We have one grandson who is 18 months old and a grand-daughter to be born at the end of July.  My best to all of you.

I was the attendance secretary at Würzburg from November 1972 to January 1976. My children's names were Steven, David, Mark and Maria. My nickname by the students was Mrs. C. My nickname by the faculty was Sam. I now live in the DC metropolitan area. I work at Howard University as a secretary in the Division of Orthopedics.
Best Memory:  The time I fell while bowling on the faculty bowling team. The wonderful students I met i.e. Pam, Uva, Cindy, Ricky, Tony etc to name a few.

Came back to Connecticut in 1980 and have been involved in education since. Carol is now Director of Curriculum and Professional Development in Regional School District # 14 (Woodbury/Bethlehem, CT) and Wendell is Director of Learning Resources & Technology in Redding, CT. Left Würzburg in summer of '73 and taught in Idaho for six years before going to Alaska for 20 years. While in Alaska, I taught in the "bush" for nine years and then transferred to the Russian Old Believer Village of Nikolaevsk, located on the Kenai Peninsula for 11 years. After retiring in 1999, we moved back to Idaho and now live in Boise. My email address is machitty@micron.net
