I left WAHS in 88' and went to Florida where I graduated HS from S. Broward. I
then enlisted in the Army and spent 6 years in the service and became a NICU
nurse. I have been married and divorced and now remarried and have 3 awesome
children whom I home school. While in the service I ended up in FT. Sam and now
reside in Frisco (just north of Dallas) where I obtained a BS in health care and
most recently a MA in Human Services from Liberty University. I have been a
business owner for several years now, check out my site
www.joiedeviesurrogacy.com and am truly doing what I love. Living in Germany
allowed me to have some of the best and most awesome experiences of my youth- I
often share them with my kids. I am still in touch with some people from WAHS,
but would like to locate more so if your looking for me email me at
domino1972@hotmail.com. Best memory: Burger king, the bowling alley,
Octoberfest, the schwimbads, hanging out with all my friends, the DYA,
homecoming!!!!!, and of course gymnastics and the team! My worst memory has got
to be the time I was arrested downtown the day several of us skipped school--
long story, but I was innocent!!!!!

After I graduated from WAHS, I went to the University of Arkansas for my BA and
to Texas A&M for my MBA. I spent the last ten years in the Washington, DC area
and moved to San Jose, CA last year (2007) to work for Yahoo!. Life is good, I
can’t complain. :) I’ve never been married and don’t have kids (but have a 3 yr
old dog)… maybe one of these days… I still go back to Würzburg once a year
(things have changed so much!), since my family lives in Germany. I still keep
in touch with Cecil Coston (had dinner with him last month) and Jimmy Jones. You
can email me at

After WAHS, I attended Hampton University and received a BA in Print Journalism.
Moved to Nairobi, Kenya with a program called "Visions in Action" worked for an
English Language newspaper "The Nation." Travelled to Tanzania, Zimbabwe and
South Africa. Next attended NYU where I got a Masters in Publishing Studies.
Worked and lived for several years in Manhattan. Did it ALL. Including marriage,
divorce, living through 9-11 and getting my fill of culture. Worked as a
magazine writer and editor. Travelled a lot for work (India, Hong Kong, Germany,
Italy, St. Maarten, Israel). I have maintained close relationships with Claudia
Z. & Cheryl C (all her kids are my godchildren!). Over the years I've also seen:
Jessica Renner, Elaine Renner, Howard Beatty, Renee Ellis, Tony Brown, Kris
Stovall, Tobin Costen and Stacie R. I packed it up and moved to my hometown of
Charleston, SC in 2003. (I hadn't lived here since my family moved to Germany in
1979). I'm a TV News producer at the ABC affiliate here. I've been at WCIV-TV
for 5 years now. That's hard for me to believe. But my life is good. I live on a
marsh, have become a major green thumb, play some tennis (which Coach Konzel
helped me develop), travel, read and write. And my family's here...so what more
could a 35 year old ask for?! I've been back to Germany (including Wurzburg)
several times. Most recently for Claudia's wedding near Berlin a couple summers
ago. And for those who thought I looked like Oprah back in the day...I still get
that! I bum-rushed her when she was in Charleston about a year ago. So I finally
got to meet my idol. Those who want to get in touch:

Went on a mission to Taiwan and learned Chinese for 2 years. When I got home, I
went to several years of school and finished an MBA. At Yale, I got married to
another runner, Alexis. After school, we moved to NYC to work at American
Express. Now, we have moved to the Seattle area, where I manage investments for
large institutions. Life is good and we hope to have children soon. I appreciate
all of the good friends and guidance at WAHS during my formative years from the
LDS crew, the Lincoln gang and the Cross Country team. Things worked out much
better than expected.

So many changes since Wurzburg. After I came back to the states I went on
partying for several years in Washington State. Traveled the West coast
repeatedly. Woke up one morning and realized it was time to grow up a little. I
moved to Missouri and went to work in Prisons. I got bored and took a short trip
to the middle east as a security specialist, and now I work at USP Leavenworth
as an officer. I have a 12 year old daughter that lives with her mother. Never
been married. I guess I have still been to busy playing to settle down with someone.

First of all I would like to say "WUZZZ UPPP" to all my fellow wolves.
Where can I begin, oh yeah, after getting my G.E.D. from the University of
Maryland, I joined the army and was stationed in Frankfurt. Even though I was a
good soldier doing dental specialist work for the Army, I still had a passion to
play basketball either in Germany or the U.S. While I was in the Army, this
great oppurtinity came about for me to play pro basketball for the bundesliga
which is the professional basketball association in Deutchland. To make a long
story short, I played semi-pro/pro basketball while in the Army and was able to
get a european out(honarable discharge) from the army to pursue basketball.
After sometime in the bundesliga, I went back to the states to visit. I stayed
for a while and ended up in a terrible automobile accident that put me in a coma
for 3 months. Fortunately, I beat the odds and made a remarkable recovery by the
graciousness of God. I soon realized t! hat my basketball playing days were
over. So I finally enrolled in to school at Middle Tennesse State University and
started working on my B.A. degree in Computer Information Systems which I will
be recieving pretty soon. I will discuss more about me in the future, but this
is enough for now. I would love to her from any of my fellow wolves so please
drop me a line at dod2a@mtsu.edu or you can call me at 1-615-293-7898. Much
happiness to all and be well.

After graduation I went to the University of Maryland in Munich for two years.
For the two years after that, I bounced around a lot trying to figure out where
I'd go next. Some of that time I spent at home with my parents in Wurzburg, much
of that time I spent in Garmisch working for AFRC. Finally in Garmisch, in 1994
I met and married my husband. Shortly after our outdoor wedding in the mountains
he joined the Navy which brought us to San Diego, CA for two sunny years. Next
we moved to Virginia Beach, VA where we have been for almost nine years now. I
finished school here at ODU earning a Masters in Early Childhood Education. I
now teach third grade at an elementary school on the Oceanfront. I like my job
and since my own children come to school with me I guess you could say I am
raising two "teacher's kids". My email address is theweers@cox.net.

After leaving WAHS Dec of '89, I finished my BA in Political Science at the
University of Central Florida in Orlando and worked after school for a U.S.
Congressman for a couple years. I met my husband in Orlando and moved up to
Virginia late 1996- I can't believe we've been here almost a decade. I recently
finished my MS in Geographic and Cartographic Science at George Mason University
(Fairfax, VA)- the same school Claudia Zarikow went to. I can't believe we ended
up at the same school (although different years). We have a 3 year old girl
named Amber- she's very sweet and keeps us busy, hee hee. I really do think
about Wuerzburg often and smile and sometimes laugh when I think about all the
great times I had. I miss the days at "Set Up", "Labyrith"
of course the castle, downtown Wuerzburg on days we skipped pep rallies, hee hee.
I have such fond memories of all my buddies- and my brother Garry had lots of
fun with you all too. One day I would ! like to make it one of the reunions.

where to start...This is going to be a long one so bear with me...after
graduation it was off to college at The Citadel, in Charleston, SC. I had a
great time there and was commissioned as a 2LT (Field Artillery) in the Army!
(No surprise!) After attending the Officer Basic Course in Fort Sill, Oklahoma I
was stationed with the 82d Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. I
did run into a couple of former Wolves, usually at strange times though. I did
see Matt McEvers and Son Horton '89 to name a few. While at Fort Bragg, I met
and married the love of my life, Kimberly. By the time we left Bragg we had a
son, Matthew! Our next stop was back to Germany! I was stationed in Babenhausen
and Heidelberg where I again ran into a couple of former Wolves. I did manage to
take my family back to Wurzburg and Kitzingen to show them the old stomping
grounds. With most bases being closed in Germany, I feel fortunate to have had
the opportunity to live there and travel ! not only as an "Army Brat"
but also as a member of our great military. After three "wunderbar"
Years in Germany and the addition of a daughter (Chandler Katherine) we headed
back to the States. This time I ended up in Fort Polk, LA where I was an
Observer/Controller at the Joint Readiness Training Center. I also deployed to
Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After two years in Fort
Polk and the addition of another daughter (Riley Elizabeth), we headed back to
the East Coast where I am currently working on my second Masters Degree. This
one is in National Security and Military Affairs. Once I finish up next year I
will again move my family, the 8th time in almost as many years to our next
"duty station." Looking back it seems like only yesterday...Feel free

Well...I never thought I would do the bio thing but I enjoyed reading others so
I am contributing.I left Wuerzburg for Garmisch a few weeks after graduation. I
ended up there with my brother Devin and Lance Miller. We spent the first night
in the Garmisch campground drinking beers and doing Frisbee bowling with empty
bottles. I am sure all the sleeping people around us loved it. The next day all
three of us managed to get jobs for AFRC in the laundry facility and they
supplied us with housing to go with it. Boy that was a hard search. It must have
taken us 3 hours to get employed and a place to live….. I guess this may just
be part one. More to follow…(Christian@thamer.net)
