I left in 1985, went to Newport News, VA (not fun!!) Went to Troy State
University in Troy, AL. BS in Rehabilitation. Did my internship in Norfolf, Va,
living with my brother Jamie and his wife. Met my husband Darren there. He and
my brother had gone to some submarine schools together. I was never going to
marry anyone in the military. What was I thinking. This was 1991 and he got out
in 1992. Moved to Texarkana, Arkansas and had my two girls. Sara in 1994 and
Emily in 1996. I worked at a sheltered workshop for mentally and physically
disabled adults. Then did the stay at home mom thing. We moved to Paris, TX in
1998 when my husband started working for Kimberly-Clark, the makers of Huggies.
Got free diapers for about 6 months, but at some point you have to potty
train!!! I am now working for Girl Scouts as the Director of Fund Development,
Communications and Product Sales (yes that means Girl Scout Cookies!!). It is
about has far away from my major as you c! an get, but I love my job!! Of course
I do all that mom stuff as well, just without the mini-van!! I loved my 3 years
at WAHS, have talked to Mary Roe, Treva McCoy and actually graduated with Bonnie
Bisol in Newport News. Would love to hear from anyone who might remember me!!!

Hey! Don't know who'll remember little ole me. We left just as the 84-85 school
year was starting. Finished High school in Columbus, Ohio. Started work on a
chemistry degree there. Met up with Cindy Harrod (WAHS class of 85) and we got
married. Joined the military in 87, went through Desert Storm, got out and moved
to Texas. Cindy and I were divorced in 1992. We have an amazing 16 year old
daughter though. I finished up my degree, ended up being Math and Computer
Science with a Chemistry minor.. I am an engineer for Thermo Electron now,
making CSI type instruments. I bought a house last year, currently live with my
brother. I do a lot of traveling, a lot of guitar picking, a lot of drinking
beer, some things don't change for us wolves do they? I miss my days at WAHS,
they are the best ever. Memories of the trips, the friends, the trouble we never
got into, the baseball trips with Howe and Dixon. I am looking forward to the 06
reunion, I will be there representing!

Just a wee update... I moved to NYC in 2002 to attend grad school. I'll
officially graduate in September 05 with a Masters in Library Science. I'm
currently working for the Queens Library at their Central Library as a Young
Adult Librarian. I really enjoy working with the teens--they are a lot of fun,
and certainly more likeable than working with grownups ;) I got engaged to a
wonderful man back in Feb. Ron & I met 2 1/2 years ago volunteering with a
cat rescue organization. Between us, we have nine cats! They more or less get
along (some days more, some days less...). We'll be getting hitched at some
point. And no, I have no idea where we'll put the kids when they come along!

Well all the nights at the Rock Palast in Würzburg with Bo, Rodney, Shannon,
Pete, Yak, Scott (who lives in Denver very near by), and all the rest. Miss
everyone. I am living in Fort Collins with my wife of 9 years and our 5 year old
daughter. They are awesome. I left Germany in 91 and moved to Jackson Hole
Wyoming as a snowboard instructor. Moved around quite a bit after that and
finally settled down in Las Vegas. Was working for best buy as a store manager
and was recently recruited by sears to be a store manager for them. I am
returning to school to get my masters in history. I am going to try and teach
college level. Yeah yeah I know the person who went to school the least is going
to teach. Fondest memory, graduation night. Bo, Rodney, Pee Wee (Dan), Scot,
Shannon and Kateri in my parents house double barrel drinking the apple korn and
tequila, then off the the Rock Palast. waking up in Rodneys basement so hung

I started out at the University of Florida in 1986 with the intention of getting
an engineering degree and becoming an Air Force pilot. I woke up about 4 years
into a 5 year engineering degree and realized that I HATED ENGINEERING. The USAF
would not reclassify me so I dropped out and worked for a year and went back to
school for physiology and pre-med. I finally graduated UF in 1994, met and
married my wife Anne, and went to work as an Athletic Trainer. I got into
Osteopathic Medical school in 1997, got the U.S. Navy to pay for my schooling,
graduated in 2001, and I am presently a resident in orthopaedic surgery in
Michigan. Anne and I have two beautiful children Nicholas (5) and Natalie (2).As
I am writing this letter I am sitting in a coffee shop in New Orleans where I am
doing a three month rotation in Pediatric Orthopedics at Childrens Hospital. I
often reflect on the time spent in Germany and the great times I had there. I
plan to attend a reunion sometime in! the future when life settles down a
little. Cudos to the creator of this forum it is a fantastic way to keep up with
other alumni. Best Memories: There were so many it is hard to count; Sir
Wellington's in Schweinfurt, the schwimbad in the summer, AA champs in football
'86, Eurpean champs in basketball '86, Athens and Spain trips for Spring Break,
walking off the buses and heading downtown to drink in the biergarten, etc. . .

Well, unfortunately I had to leave Wurzburg right before senior year. Hated that! Came back to the place I grew up, Fayetteville, NC, and have been here ever since. But I love it. Graduated from Methodist College in Fay., in 1990 and have taught and coached at a junior high on Fort Bragg since then. I love teaching military brats. I can relate! I coach volleyball and softball! It's awesome. Couldn't think of anything I'd rather do. I WAS married to a good man with some bad habits and even though that ended I had an absolutely wonderful son. His name is Brandon and he is 8 years old. I am just recently married (May 13,2000) to my new husband and look forward to many happy years together. I also just received my Master's Degree in P.E. and am contemplating school administration in the far future.
Best Memory: My memories are so blurred by the alcohol! :-) Gosh, the spring trip to Spain has to be #1. All those athletic trips throughout Germany were a blast as well. Our basketball and softball teams were awesome!

After Wurzburg, I went to Florida State University for 4 years during the football days of Deion Sanders and Brad Johnson. Go
'Noles!! I graduated with a Hospitality Degree, moved to Orlando, FL and went to work for a restaurant. After 6 months of HARD work, I decided NC is where I wanted to be and moved to Charlotte. It helped that all my family was there. I worked for 2 different food brokers over 5.5 years. Boredom struck and I headed north to DC. Found out about a little coffee company called Starbucks and moved BACK to NC to be a manager for Starbucks. And the rest is history. I was a store manager for over 2.5 years and moved to DC to take a support position at our regional office. Finally, I'm back to M-F, 9-5 job. Retail is a WAR zone, but I still get a kick out of saying I work for Starbucks. It's a great company with a bright future. I've managed to stay single all this time. My knight I think got lost and hasn't asked for directions yet!!
Best Memory: The humanities trip to Italy with Ms. West and the gang. Prom at the Castle. The Uni Cafe and the Caves. Kiliani Fest. Chinese food on July 4th with Debbie
Dubroff. Riding around with Kelly Haggerty in his VW and station wagon. Brian Rose always boring paper from me in Humanities. Graduation.

Well, let's see. I move back to Texas w/ my parents in '89. I went to
University of Texas @ Arlington. I dated a bit, had a some pretty wild times.
Met my husband Matthew in a Russian class there. (No, i don't speak Russian. I
only had 2 semesters of it and I was awful at it.) We dated 2 yrs, then got
married, in '93 and had a baby in '94. I have never graduated, but have
continued to go to school off and on the whole time. I have 3 or 4 class left to
graduate. Maybe next year. We only have one child and he just turned 6 in March.
His name is Robbie. I substitute part time at his school, and the preschool he
went to when they need me. On the whole I am a stay at home mom. We live about
10-15 minutes outside of Dallas. Those of you that remember my mom, she is doing
great. She lives about a mile or 2 from me. If you remember my little sister,
Kari, well she is all grown up now. She is married and has 3 children.
Best Memory: Spending my Friday and Saturday nights at the Rock Palast w/
Rodney, Shannon, Bo, John, and soooo many others.

Moved to Georgia the night I graduated, then moved on to Washington
State, down to Los Angeles, then to Colorado Springs, and once again back to
Olympia. I started college with a major in Theatre. Did a lot of plays and some
local commercials. Finally got tired of the turn downs for reasons like,
"your arms are too fat, can you fix that," so I finished two years,
then started working for a software company. I stayed in the computer field and
now I am an Applications Trainer. I teach computer classes, mostly Microsoft
software. I just got married in March 2000 in Las Vegas. No kids, no prior
marriages.
Best Memory: Riding the bus from Schweinfurt. There was always a party
going on!

Went to SCSU & chose a degree in a field that my parents said wouldn't bring me any money (but it was what I wanted--the influence of Ms. West). Canvassed for Greenpeace for a year & a half (talk about no money!), and then worked as a co-manager at Lane Bryant (I firmly believe in variety in the workplace). My parents settled in Kansas (dad's last station was Ft. Riley), and Jeanne talked me into moving out there to help her with her baby. He's going to be 6 this year! Worked as an administrative assistant at Kansas State (GO WILDCATS!), and then Donnie Hood & Martina Cheeseman talked me into moving to Austin. That was just over 4 years ago. I've had a number of jobs, but am currently working as an administrative assistant at the domestic violence/sexual assault survival center here in Travis County and work part time in a home for children with HIV/AIDS (no, it's not depressing). So yes, that art history degree has really come in handy!
Still not married--spent too long with someone unable to commit. No kids yet, and my biological clock is screaming! I do have 4 cats and a multitude of friends:)
Best Memory: Italy with Ms. West's Humanities class & London with Flom & the Drama Club, prom at the castle, and way too many more to type here!
