Life ... Married my high school sweetheart 20 years later. We have four children
together Marrisa, Kristi, Raymond and Kayla (biological). I have a very
successful Network Marketing business. It is in several states and growing. I
have retired my sister at age 37 and my wife will be retiring this year. My
original home is in GA. I have moved around a fair amount...I guess the military
brat hasn't left me yet. I get restless every four or five years.
Life is great...If anyone remembers me I can be reached at 618-593-7667 or
866-573-3138. E-mail : dmedders@charter.net
I lived at YPG so if their are any other out there write or call maybe we live
near one another... Dave
2/23/09 Update: Manhattan, KS. Moved back to the states in 77 and my
family relocated to Ft. Hood, TX, Yuma, AZ and my dad retired in Hinesville, GA
near Ft. Stewart. Tried and went through several career changes until most
recently ended up a property manager and seem to have a knack for it. Looking to
move back south and live through my own properties and get out of the rat race.
Just too much demand on a person's soul. I have hooked up with a couple of
friends from here and after looking at the yearbooks I see I can look for some
more. The hardest part of this site was looking at the losses. Kind of stopped
me in my tracks. reasons I guess are the mortality of it and the sorrow of it.
Love y'all Dave.

I guess it's about time I fill one of these things out. In brief, left UofM,
Munich to return to the nest with the folks in Philadelphia in 1983. Got a job
as a cook and that progressed into College/Corporate Food Service Management and
took me to North Jersey/NY Metro area till '93. Met my wife, with the
stipulation that I was not raising a family in the NY Metro area, so we moved to
Colorado. Joined the management team of Boston Chicken when we had one store in
Colorado. Finally wised up and left food service in 1997 when I went to work for
Catholic Health Initiatives as a Telecom Expense Analyst...I have been with them
since and now work as a network engineer at their National IT Center. Finally
had a successful pregnancy in 1999 and I am the proud father of a beautiful
daughter. There you have...short and sweet. I'm listed in the phonebook and my
email addy can be readily found.

Let's see...After the whole interstate flight, trumped up charges fiasco, I got
my stuff together! :)
Seriously, but only for a few seconds, attended University of Kansas on an
Academic Scholarship, I know that's going to freak someone out, it stillfreaks
me out...However, the love of beer and other things aquired during my training
days in Wurzburg resulted in a lost scholarship and a move to Austin Peay State
University, where I graduated with a Comp. Science degreeand headed off to
Detroit for fun in the sun and sand...Found out quickyl there was very little
sun and even less Beach so I got Married and moved to the heart of the US,
Kansas City...Got rid of the wife, kept two great kids that are now 17 and 15
and have been working in Project Management/Product Development ever since for a
variety of Companies...
I'm sure there's much more but this is as long as I can remain serious so I will
go back to being a Blue State rebel in the heart of Red State world and hope to
hear from those of you that remember those 3 years I spent there from 1975 -
1978!

Breaker-breaker all you WAHS Family. Been a long time since I've heard or seen
any of these names. I left there in 80 to go in the Navy. Got out of the Navy in
85 to do what I always wanted to do, travel in the USA in my pent-house
apartment on wheels, blowin smoke and checkin out seat-covers. went to college
somewhere in there and earned my bachelors in business management. I have lots
of memories of WAHS and lost contacts that I wish i could hear from. Married my
better half back in 86 and had a daughter who starts College in 05. Has any one
seen or heard from Howard Boyd 80? Other people I'd like to hear from any and
all who might know me.

After graduating early in January of 1980,I went in the Army and served in the
82nd Airborne Division as well as serving in 4/325 (formerly 1/509) in Vicenza,
Italy. I did a short career of 4 years and then decided to move on in
life and start something new as a civilian. My Dad retired from 1st. Special
forces in Ft. Lewis in 1985 and landed a position with a D.O.E. Nuclear security
contractor at the Nevada Test Site, home of all underground nuclear testing in
the U.S. I too went to work there in 1987 and worked there until joining the Las
Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 1990. Since joining the force I've worked
in Patrol,Gang Investigations, S.W.A.T. and my current assignment is in Traffic
as a Motor Officer.

I joined the Air Force in 1980. I did 2 years of HQ intel ops at Ramstein, 2
Years of tracking Satellites and Space Shuttles at Eglin AFB, FL, and 4 years in
computer systems at Zweibrucken AB, Germany. I got out and have lived in
Atlanta ever since. My first civilian job was as a systems programmer for a
computer that authorizes Credit Cards and health care claims. I left there in
1991 and been at a company called Sita/Equant since. I am currently the manager
of a group of mainframes that handle Airline messaging. (Mary Hefty at Alaska
Air uses our network.) They send me to France every now and then and I always
hope that a mission to Germany would come up. (It never does.) I married a
lovely Georgia girl named Dawn and we have 4 youngins. (I did not pay close
enough attention to Mr. Wynn's sex education classes!) Luckily the children have
turned out to be quite perfect so I'm not complaining. One of the best German
contacts I've had since leaving was that we had a Olympic Cyclist stay with us
during the Atlanta Games in 1996. She was from Munich. Even though she could
leave me in her dust, I got to ride with her a couple of days during her
training.
Best Memory: The whole 4 years at Wurzburg HS was a fantastic memory. Even
though I lecture my kids on the evils of drinking, going into a gasthaus at
15/16 with friends and having a Beer seemed normal. School Sponsored fieldtrips
even managed to include a beer. Living off-post seemed like living in rural
America 50 years ago where Saturday was a big event by going into 'town'
(Leighton Barracks). Man, the bumper cars at the German-American fests were
awesome. I try to describe the speed/hits/whiplash to my children but they can't
see it because the local six flags has bumper cars for 6 year olds. I think the
best thing about Wurzburg, was that we lived off-base, I had a bicycle that I
rode everywhere and that my family had no TV. It seems I was out on my own the
majority of the time in High School. I picked up alot of the local culture that
followed me well through life. I have the majority of the play list of the local
'Classic Rock' station on CD. They just don't make songs like the! y use to.
Anybody remember the discos in downtown Wurzburg? Everytime I hear an Abba song
I think of them. There is no one memory, just a jumble of good times. Here's
some word associations: Volksmarches, AYA, Kristkind's Mart in Nuremburg, The
Zoo in Munich, Ski trip to Zell am See, Street Cars, Bahnhof, Festhalle, Beer
Tent, OktoberFest, AFRTS Radio, Volkswagen, Maids Room, Bahnhof, Summer Jobs at
$2.65/hour, Ice Storm, Stars and Stripes Newspaper, Wolfies, exchange rate.

Best Memory: I wouldn't call it my best memory but my most vivid memory is
breaking my femur bone while skiing on a school field trip to Zell Am Zee,
Austria and spending two months in traction at the Wurzburg American Hospital. I
did enjoy the movie theater in the hospital that my bed was wheeled to on the
weekends! (Thanks to my friends for the lift!)

Where do I begin??? Left Wurzburg in 75 to journey to El Paso. Haven't really
lived anywhere but Texas since (except once to try out San Diego). Lost touch
with mostly everyone but I'm excited about this site!!! Married 1 yr out of high
school -- divorced his butt. Single for years until I met "My Michael

three kids (doggies - Buster, Pookie & Ashli) I've worked for American
Airlines for 12 years. Have done several things there but presently I'm a
Planner for Building Maintenance. My brother (Harold '77) and I lost my mother (Ardelia
Richardson) in 81 to cancer. Some of you younger wolves may remember her, she
taught Wurzburg elementary while we were stationed there. My bio isn''t nearly
as exciting as some I've read but I'm still proud to say I was a Wurzburg Wolf!

Since Greg hasn't submitted a bio, I'll enter one for him. Greg fulfilled
his dream of becoming a professional animator by attending Cal Arts while also working for Disney. Many years and movies later, he's the CEO of his own
company in Germany. Greg is also a voting member of the Academy of Motion
Pictures Arts and Sciences and tries to attend the Oscar ceremonies every year.
Greg is married to a lovely British woman named Sarah, a retired Attorney, and
they have two daughters, Elizabeth Rose and Catherine Olivia. Greg and
Sarah met while he was living in London when their phone lines got
crossed! She didn't believe he worked for Disney, so he told her to hang
up, call Disney and ask for him. The rest is history!

August 04, 2000
Well where do I start. When I graduated in 1980 I joined the army. Ended up stationed at Ft
Bliss, TX where I met my first husband. In 1982 we got transferred to Ansbach,
Germany. At that
time I decided to get out because I was pregnant with my first child. In 1984 we finally got back to El
Paso, TX and from
there moved close to Ft. Hood, Texas to a small town called Lampasas. I had 3 more
children. They are now between 11-18
years old. Two boys and Two girls) I went to college and
studied criminal justice, and became a police officer. I was
divorced shortly after. Then I met a wonderful man, Jack, on the internet (yes,
the
internet) in a law enforcement chat room, and
we hit it off right away. He was a U.S. Marshall and a search
and rescue pilot and was at that time in Albuquerque, NM. I
decided that I simply could not live without him and moved
to Albuquerque. I worked law enforcement there for one year
until we decided to move back to Texas. Last year we were
transferred to Reno Nevada, for a short period of time and
hope to leave to go home to the Dallas/Ft Worth area REAL SOON. I have plans to get my masters in criminal justice and
am working on a career as a criminal profiler. Also ,I have
plans to study forensic science. Well other than that nothing
interesting has happened in my life *LOL*. I lost track of
EVERYONE once I left Wurzburg, and miss the place itself.

Westville, IL.... for now
I never really grew up, but I did manage to get married for 18 years and had 3
kids... my oldest is turning 16 March 24th 2002!! AAAAAACK!! I guess I'm old
enough to have a 16 year old, but I find it hard to act the "mature, adult
parent" I mean, it is my considered opinion that the only thing that
changes from high school to adulthood is that my bills got bigger... I know my
attitude hasn't changed a whole lot!! I still have just as much fun as I've ever
had!!

After leaving Wuerzburg, I finally sobered up! Married a GI, which didn't last
long. Years later, met my husband, Jay, in Florida. We have two kids, Jenna 13
and Jon 12. I have two step-kids, Jamiee 24 and Jason 28. And two grandkids,
Hailee 5 and Dylan 3. We lost my dad, Cliff Rowland, in 1995 (to cancer). Before
he passed, though, I finally made it to college and graduated cum laude!!! After
15 years of marriage and almost 6 years with AT&T Wireless, I am finally
going to relax! I just found out that I won a company sponsored trip to
Hawaii....so...we are leaving the kids and going to relax!!!!
My memories of high school in Wuerzburg are a blur, but I know I met some
wonderful people and have been blessed to be able to be reunited with so many of
you! Loretta, Nadine, Tom, Hutch!!! I am really excited about seeing so many
more of you in 2003!
