Hi, everyone. It was great finding this site. My husband is former military and we have now been planted here in Virginia for 16 years. My husband is a teacher and I work as a daycare provider. I would love to get in touch with my friends from Bad Kissingen. We had a great and memorable time. My e-mail is teure@cox.net. I'll be hoping to hear from you guys.

Moved to Connecticut and been here ever since. Have two great children 22 and 23 and been divorced for 13 years now. Can't say I miss Germany but sure do miss the good times we had, Sybil, Tom, Denise, Andrea, and of course Sue Ladieu. Of course I do miss moving around every couple years, I really do! Someday I'll make it to a reunion.

I attended WAHS from 1973 to 1976, and lived in Lincoln Housing Area just outside Leighton Barracks in Wurzburg. After WAHS I attended boarding school at the Lycee Charles de Gaulle in Baden-Baden from 1976 to 1978, and graduated from Frankfurt American High School in 1980. I graduated from the University of South Florida in 1985 with a degree in International Studies. From 1984 to 1990 I worked in International Banking and as a Branch Manager at Bank of America in Florida and Citibank in Arizona.. In 1990 I began a career at the US Department of State that has taken me to Africa and Europe. I married Caroline (a Navy Brat) and we have two sons -- Sam, a freshman at Longwood University, and Thomas, a second grader.

I too would have been a WAHS only we were sent stateside 3 weeks before the start of 78-79 Term. Therefore I graduated from Austin High School in El Paso, Texas. I've married and have 4 children - well they're practically adults now, and 1 grandson. A very odd fond memory I have is the bus ride from Wildflecken to WAHS during the winter months only to find out that school was cancelled due to snow! What crazy times those were. Anyone from WAHS can reach me here: genia.planck@gmail.com

LaVerne Jones-Ayala
Belpre, OH
I was the Attendance Secretary from June 1976 to February 1979. I was diagnosed with cancer and the Army med-evaced me to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Washington, DC, in March 1979. (Yes, I'm a survivor!).
I have a daughter, Tonja Ayala, that attended WAHS, while I was the Attendance Secretary. She played basketball for Wendell Rector, and volleyball for Marlene Verny. She would have graduated in 1982 from WAHS. But she ended up graduating from High Point High School in Beltsville, MD, in 1982.
My husband retired from the Army in 1982, we separated in 1985, and divorced in 1990.
In 1980, I went to work for Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Civilian Personnel, from there to the VA Medical Center, and from there to the Department of the Treasury. On June 23, 2003, I retired from Treasury, after 25 years of Federal Service. So, if any of you are ever in the Belpre, OH area, stop in and say hello, you will always be welcome. If you are ever in Seattle, WA, stop in and say hello to Tonja.
