Served on Homewood-Flossmoor Park Board as an elected Commissioner. CCD teacher for two years at St. Joseph's Church. Worked as Community Relations Assistant Director for the Village of Matteson, Illinois for 4 years before becoming Auditing and Compliance Director for a local fair housing agency for 7 years. I retired in 1996 to be a full-time Mom to a son (8) and daughter (5). Married for 14 years. Play volleyball competitively and golf very badly. See my best buddy Natalie Allison Johnson often. Best Memory: Going to All-area dances with Andy Bland, Natalie Allison, the Coughlin sisters, Nancy Gastright and Brenda Jennings. Worst memory: Leaving everyone in Summer, 1975!
Update:
January 2006, Homewood, Illinois, I still live in Homewood which is 30 miles southeast of Chicago, Illinois. I am a full-time at home Mom to kids Sam (14) and Julia (11). My husband, Ted, is an officer at JPM Chase in downtown Chicago. I am an officer on the PTA Board for our local school district and still a CCD teacher. I had the wonderful opportunity to see Natalie Allison Johnson about 2 weeks ago and we're still buddies. I talk to Phyllis Coughin and Brenda Jennings too. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again this summer!

It's been a long interesting trip since Wurzburg. I went into the Army myself for three years. Got out and went to College for awhile. Lived in Colorado, California, Texas, Nevada and then back to Colorado. Been married a few times. Been divorced a few times. Just can't seem to find what I am looking for. Currently I am an IT Director for a Food Distribution company that I commute to in Pueblo. I like my job. I finally gave up Vegas where I was dying a slow death. The place gets old real quick.
I see a couple real familiar names here. Mike and I used to hang out together in Junior High. Joan, I flirted with when we were freshman. If anyone wants to get a hold of me, I'm at SiriusGD@gmail.com

Since I was at WAHS, I've been to OK, FL, UT. WA and AZ where I've lived the last 6 yrs. My youngest son, Matthew lives with me. He's a junior in high school. My next son, Aaron is leaving for boot camp Feb. 26. My son Adam just got back from Turkey where he married his girlfriend, Sali,  from Iran. She's back in Iran but we hope to have her here with us in a few months. My oldest son, Nathan, is married and lives in Bradenton, FL. He goes to the Ringling Brothers School of Art. He's very talented. He started a club for musicians there. www.rsad.edu/sos/ is the page he created for it. His wife, Dana, is going to school to be a teacher. I'm an escrow officer. I'm not crazy about it but it pays the bills. Is Cathy Roach out there somewhere? Cathy Dailey?
Previous entry: I moved to Ft. Sill, OK after Wurzburg. I loved it their. Moved to UT where my father retired. Didn't adjust there for about ten yrs. I married Bruce Hardy of the Miami Dolphins. We moved between FL and Ut for a decade. 1/2 yr in ea. I have four incredible boys. My oldest is married and living in Sarasota, FL going to Ringling Bros. Art School. They keep all his work as they think he'll be someone. They want him to teach there but he has other plans. I live in Phoenix (5 yrs) with my youngest son Matthew. Another son, Aaron, lives down the street with long time girlfriend. He's looking into flying helicopters for the Army. I'm an Escrow Officer. Was a paralegal. Before that a stay at home mom. Loved that job the best. I'm looking into being a foster mom. So so sorry to hear about Sally Walker. She was so sweet. I remember her great dislike of the disingenuity required by her parents. Hello to Cathy Roach and all the other wonderful people. I am divorced. I am content. I love where I live. I love to swim, scuba dive (dove in Honduras). I love San Diego. I go a couple of times a yr. Adios Amigos.

Mary E. Franz
Topeka, Kansas
I have very fond memories of WAHS. We left Germany in 1977 and went to Ft. Bliss, Texas. (Or at least my family did.) I went back to Michigan to school. I got my BS degree in Medical Technology from Grand Valley State University near Grand Rapids, Michigan. I worked in the field for 6 years and loved it. Unfortunately, you don't move up much in this field and I decided I wanted more of a leadership role so I went to medical school. I am a full-time Family Physician in Topeka, Kansas. I have 3 GREAT kids, Mary, Michael and Aubry. As a single mom and a doctor I have a busy schedule but somehow seem to make time for the important things. I was excited to learn of the site and plan to tell all 4 of my siblings, Bob, Bill, Jim and Sandy! Look for their names soon.

Life after Würzburg took me to back to Indiana, a return to Würzburg, then Moscow and Boise, Idaho and now I call Anchorage, Alaska home!  I'm a single dad of Bren (22) and Danielle (20).  I started looking for long lost Würzburg friends back in 1988 and this website evolved from that search!  On my own time, I enjoy improving this site and planning our reunions,  traveling to warmer climates and I hope to someday fly again, after a hiatus from recreational flying that has lasted way too long!  Best memories include driving to Stuttgart to see Cat Stevens with Rob Monteith, Tammi Williams, Bobby and Willie Cato!  Other fond memories are with good friends at the "Lake" in Kitzingen!  The picture below is with my son Bren and daughter Dani at the 2003 "All-Class" Alumni Reunion in Las Vegas.  Email:

Joseph Putz
Sumner, Washington
After graduating I returned to Washington to wait for an opening in the Air Force air traffic control school. I served 12 years as a controller and left the AF in 1988 for a job with the FAA. I now am an ATC supervisor at the Seattle Air Route Traffic Control Center. Two marriages produced a boy and a girl. My daughter is attending college to pursue a career in ATC and my son is 15. I am currently divorced and enjoying life. Some of my favorite memories are Frank Meyers and I mooning the East German guards from the window of the train on the way to play Berlin in soccer. Going to the AYA, and some of the best field trips in the world such as going to Austria and Italy over Easter vacation and going to Austria on a tennis/ski trip with Herr Kleeman. Did I mention the girls!!
Additional entry: After graduation I worked in the Kitzingen commissary for a year until returning state side with my folks. I had a one month stop over in Kentucky with a high school sweet heart, than a quick trip to PA, then off to Washington to join up with my parents. I joined the Air Force in 1977 and became an Air Traffic Controller. I spent six years at McChord AFB in Tacoma, Washington, then another 6 in Okinawa Japan. I married prior to going overseas and became the father of two children, a girl now 17 and a boy 14. In 1988 I left the military for an air traffic control position with the FAA. I was assigned to the Seattle Air Route Traffic Control Center in Auburn, WA and have been there since. I divorced in 1990, and remarried for a brief time in 1997. Sadly, that relationship failed and am currently single. I own a large home and was promoted last week to a supervisory position. I will make the FAA my final career choice and keep Washington as a home. As for future wedding plans...no thanks...been there, done that, have the bumper sticker.
Best Memory:  So many...no real best one. Met my first, second, third...loves. First time I got drunk...Franken wine and pizza. I think the best was going to the AYA and playing foosball, or maybe starting on the WAHS soccer team...or maybe it was the field trip to Italy for history class, was it listening to Pittsburgh beat Dallas in the super bowl on a radio that kept fading in and out at all the wrong times.......so many to choose from. You pick.

I would have graduated from WAHS in 76 but, we moved to Elk Grove (near Sacramento, CA) in DEC of 75 and than to Killeen, TX in May 75 (Where my dad retired). I graduated from KHS in 76 so, I am a Killeen Kangaroo (UGH) and I hop instead of howl. I worked at the Wendy's, on 440, in Killeen, until I joined the Army in 78 (Basic at Fort Jackson, SC, AIT (26L)at Fort Gordon, GA). I got stationed at Fort Hood, TX (a hop-n-skip from Killeen) from 79-81 (HHC 16TH SIG BN, 3RD SIG BDE) then went to AFCENT (Allied Forces Central), in Brunnsum, the Netherlands until 83 when I returned to Fort Hood, TX (647TH MAINT, CO, ASB, 13 COSCOM). I went to Camp Red Cloud (Uijonbu) Korea (304th SIG BN, 1ST SIG BDE) in 84 and returned to Fort Hood in 85 (647th again). In 88, I went to Fort Gordon, GA as an instructor (COBET, and 29M course). In 91, I went back to Korea (275th SIG CO, Yongsan-Seoul) and than to Warrant School Basic("Red Scorpions", Fort Rucker, AL)and advanced course (Fort ! Gordon, GA) after that. I went to NTC, Fort Irwin (HHC NTC SPT BN and SPT SQDN 11TH ACR (OPFOR), until I retired on 1 April 96 (No fooling) at Fort Hood, TX (Where else?). I now ( April 2003) work at the North East Campus of Tarrant County College (TCC) in Hurst, Texas (near the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport) in the Astronomy and Physics labs. My favorite WAHS teachers, were Mr. Rector and Mr. Renner and my best friends were Robert Carpenter and Pat McGee. I like where I'm at in life and will always remember WAHS and those loooong bus drives (playing spades) from Wildflecken; especially in the SNOW (Did it ever stop?). Any WAHS alumni can reach me at: xarmy96@yahoo.com any ole' time...GO WOLVES!!!

Hi all..let's see what's been going on in my life since graduation! Graduated in '76(the best) left Germany in September of same year. Took a year off from school and returned to the states...first to Maryland and then back to Pennsylvania. Continued with school there...the business thing and graduated. Ended up going back to Germany...Wertheim to be exact...because my grandfather was ill. Once back started working for AAFES-EUROPE and worked my way up to Manager of the Cafeteria and School Feeding in Peden. Met my bestest friend in the whole world in October of 1990 and married him in December 1990. Our little munchkin dude (not little anymore) Mario Charles came along in November of 1991. We came back to the states in April of 1992 when Peden closed and went to Fort Ord, Ca. until June of 1993 when Fort Ord closed. We proceeded to Fort Riley, Kansas until June of 1996 when we moved to the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California. My husband Tony retired last year after serving 21 years and now he still is up in NTC working for RAYTHEON as a Solaris Graphics Designer. I was a stay-at-home mom until recently but now I also work up at Fort Irwin in the Housing Branch as a Housing Inspector. My life has been and is great.......the only shadow of course was when my dad passed away during my senior year. Oh, I also have a dog named Sugar(silly dog)=) and two cats...Muffy and Syco (the name fits)=) Come see me up at Fort Irwin...
Best Memory:  It was all great....... =)
