Left Wurzburg in 1970. Moved to Aberdeen, Md. then to Florida in 1972, still live in the Orlando area. My dad retired in Orange City, FL after 22 years of service.
I have two handsome sons: Edward, 25, and David 14. After graduating, worked for General Dynamics Corporation for three years in Procurement and Contracts during the time the Trident Submarine was being built.
Went to work for Seminole County Purchasing for over 8 years. Currently working for City Government as a Purchasing Manager since 1986. President of the Florida Association of Public Purchasing Officers.
Traveled back to Wurzburg three years ago in January. Looks like they built a new school. The Housing did not seem the same. Lots of changes during the last 30 years, just like life.
Best Memory:  The great times and wonderful friends and great faculty will always be remembered. French class and French Club with Mrs. Scoville; Lots of laughs in Math with Mr. Degler; Mrs. Susan Odle, Social Studies was super.
Going downtown Wurzburg with friends to buy chocolate covered-liquer filled "Mon Cheri". Wonderful friends to remember: Gaby (Gabriella) Brown and her brother Andy Brown; Al Garcia, Joe Weeden, Eric Finley and Brenda Scoville.

After leaving Wurzburg, I did a lot of traveling. I did my stint with the Armed Forces, and took advantage of the GI Bill to gain my chef's certification, and later my degree in Business Management. I spent more than a few years in the restaurant business, before throwing it all away to go to work for a small computer manufacturing company known as Gateway 2000. I have been with them (now just Gateway) for a little over 10 years in a middle management position. In 1983, I met my wife, Patti, to whom I was married in 1984. In 1985, we had our only son, Ian. Between work and family, I have remained quite busy.
Best Memory: My best memory of WAHS would have to be the trip to London that we took in our Senior year.

I moved back to the states with my parents after Würzburg and graduated from Widefield High in Security, Colorado. I met my future husband the following year at Ozark Bible College in Missouri and here I am 27 years later with three children, two dogs and a cat, living in the Kansas countryside. Although I was a full-time mother for years, I was one of the lucky few who get to do what they love and get paid for it: nursing, social work and interior design. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me from so so long ago. My email is pannebetts@hotmail. I'm not so adept at technology, so don't be surprised if it takes me a few years to get back to you. (I haven't changed a whole lot.)
Best Memory:  It's too hard to choose one out of the million good memories I have.

So much has happened in the last 29 years it's impossible to condense it all into one paragraph. The highlights of my post WAHS life include; marrying my beautiful wife Joyce in '96, playing rugby for 13 years and coaching my club to a state championship in '90, completing my master's degree as a nurse practitioner, driving aroound the country for a month in '93, traveling back to Germany (and visiting Wurzburg and Schweinfurt) in '94 and others too numerous to mention. Low points include my brief teaching career, several years of just scraping by financially, my wife's car accident (she's all better now), several psychotic girlfriends and not being able to maintain contact with most of my friends from my overseas days. Those days were some of my happiest and while there were a few down times, the good times are far more numerous. I give thanks to Schweinfurt teacher Phyllis Angell, Coach Sellers, Donna, Dean David, and my best pal from that time Bill Hood.
Best Memory:  The Kitzingen talent show in '71, where my band placed second, winning the '69 AYA football championship, seeing Grand Funk Railroad and Humble Pie on the tank field at Conn Barracks 4 days before I left Germany and winning my one and only varsity wrestling match.

Mary Jane Leffel Cella
Farminton, Utah
I have lived in Utah since 1975. I married in 1976. Had a daughter in 1977. Graduated from the University of Utah in 1981 in education. Graduated with my masters in Administration in 1989. Taught for DoDDs in Karlsruhe in 1990-1992. We have adopted three toddlers in the last few years. Long story.... I now have a 25 year old married daughter, a 3 year old, and twin 2 year olds. Yes, I'm 47 years old and very tired! Hah! My husband has been in law since 1985. He has his own practice. However, we looking for a career change, and as crazy as this may seem, he is getting a counseling degree and we're planning on taking our "second family" over to Europe and both of us work for DoDDS. Who knows, maybe even Wurzburg? Money's not everything...I think. I loved my experience being raised in Europe and think the benefits outweigh the financial discomforts. So, hopefully, we'll be over there for the 2004 school year. Come see us! If not, we have a great life h! ere in Utah and come see us anyway!
