I attended WAHS in 1965-1968. I was in the 7th and 8th grade at the Junior HS
and actually only did my Freshman year at WAHS. I was the Freshman class
secretary in the student council. We rotated back to the states in 1968 and I
eventually graduated from Eastwood High School in El Paso, Texas. I went to
college at UTEP, CVCC, & Northwestern. I have been married to Bobbie Mae
Whitaker of Fabens, Texas for thirty years. We have three grown sons, a
daughter-n-law and a beautiful grandauughter. I was also in the band as a
trumpet player. I am a Doctor of Christian Education and currently serve a s a
minister and administrator at a church.

After HS I was simultaneously Wurzburg AYA president, played in many bands as I
also stayed and worked as the janitor in the Wurzburg Hospital, NCO and Officers
Clubs. After my brother Dan graduated ‘72 we went back to world, where I went
to college on my savings. Ran out of money after the 1'st year and was homeless,
so I went into the Army maxed all tests so I took the 1 year electronics school
put in for Europe and got Japan! Help maintained communications with Saigon
during it's fall. Got out of Army and went back to college. I've been working my
butt off to get where I am now. I've been married 12 years to a wonderful woman
whose lived in one place all her life and really try's to see life through my
eyes.
Best Memory: My best memory of Wurzburg is playing in all the places with
the "Suns of Summer" and all of the other bands after that!

Although I'm listed in the class of '68, that's when I was at WAHS, I would have
graduated in '70 if my father had not retired. After leaving Wurzburg, we settled
in Garland, Texas (a Dallas suburb) where I finished in a graduating class which
was larger than the entire enrollment of WAHS. I went to college to study
engineering, and eventually went to work for Martin Marietta on the Titan IV
program. I'm now working for an aerospace hydraulics company as a program
manager at a the Bombardier facility in Montreal. I have two daughters, one who
graduates from college this summer and one who graduates from high school. Last
month I married the woman of my dreams, and in June we'll be moving back to
Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Best Memory: I remember playing basketball with coach Washburn, and of
course I remember the division co-champs 1967 football team. Remember the 2-0
(yes I said 2-0) loss to Bitburg?

Rotated back to the states in July of 70' with my older brothers Don'68,
Dale'70, and Curtis'75. Dad retired in South Dakota, and I worked as an
electrician until joining the army in 75. Did three years in Leavenworth, (the
only one there who was volunteered!) as an electrician. Retired early, 3 was
enough and continued to work as an electrician in Brookings, SD until I decided
to try college with the GI Bill. Graduated in 1985 with BS (yes, it stands for
bullshit) in Business Ad. Relocated to Seattle area and working in property
management for 15 years. Now I am self employed in the mortgage business and the
owner of ModernLending.com. I live in Edmonds, WA and watch the ferries come and
go. My favorite time: The Berlin train rides and the AYA dances.
