Glendale, Arizona
Returned to the states in June 1967. Attend Glendale Community College for 2 yrs
and then enlisted in the Coast Guard Reserve. Spent active duty on the Colorado
River doing search and rescue. Married my wife Donna in June 71 and had our son
Jim in 73. Jim graduated from the University of Arizona with an MBA and know has
his own consulting business and is married with 4 beautiful children. I have
spent my entire career in the food business. In 1998 I sold out and semi
retired. For something to do I kept a BBQ sauce company and also import mesquite
charcoal out of Mexico which keeps me busy. We have been blessed with our family
and adventures since leaving Germany, I do however think of my time at WAHS
often with all the fun and love we shared.

DuPont, Washington
Attended University or Washington, graduated in '71 and then spent over 21 years
in the Army, retiring in '92. Went to work for Brown & Root (Halliburton
company) and since July of '93 have been working overseas; actually if I were to
go back to my Army days, I have spent something like 17.5 years overseas and
only about 1.5 Stateside. Guess all that moving around never left my blood. But
it was good, worked with Stacy Stewart in Russia and Iraq, met Lottie Farris in
California in '74 heading to Korea and Shirley Allen in California in '75
returning from Korea. Was fortunate to meet others during different periods of
time, Wolfie Andrews, Rudy Gibson, Pat Cheatham, Johnny Burns, Mike Chiasson,
Peggy Mercer, Steve Myers, Skip Camacho as well as seeing them and others at the
reunions of '95 and '00. Memorable moments: Shirley Allen sitting in front of me
in homeroom and helping me get settled into Wurzburg High (moved there in the
summer between junior and senior ! class; being lured into joining the wrestling
team to become the wrestling practice dummy for guys like Rudy Gibson and his
famous chicken wing maneuver; returning from Germany with Stacy and then
wondering why we wanted to leave Germany so badly after landing in the US,
cramming 10 people into Mary Jane Hicks' Volkswagen graduation night to go to
Wolfie's place; taking the train to see Heidi Dornacker one day during the
summer of '67 spending about four hours to get to Wertheim only to find her
getting ready to go to Wurzburg, I got back in about an hour; attending the
Homecoming football game in '87 to find that Wurzburg was now a large school and
a football powerhouse. Thanks to all who made my year at Wurzburg truly
exceptional; you has stayed with me all my life!

SHIRLEY ALLEN
COLUMBIA, MO
DATE: 5/12/02 EDUCATION: University of Missouri After H.S., my dad got orders to
Vietnam, so the family returned to my mom's home in Indiana. I worked as a
Bookkeeper for about 6 months, then entered the U. of MO. I graduated and went
directly into the Peace Corps in Thailand, where I taught English as a second
language to Thai H.S. students. I returned to Indiana and from there joined the
U.S. Navy. I was stationed in Thailand and Japan, then returned to the U. of MO
for a Master's degree in Psychology. I met my current husband and his 5 year old
daughter, who is now 31 and works as a Social Worker in New Orleans. I was
recalled into the active Navy, from the reserves, for Dessert Shield/Storm from
9/90 to 9/91. I finished my Ph.D. in Psychology while on active duty since I
just had the dissertation left to go. I retired from the Naval Reserves in 2000.
Now I work as a Psychologist in the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veteran's Hospital.
I like to run and have finished (very slowly) 4 marathons. My husband and I
enjoy bike riding, mountain climbing, and travel. BEST MEMORY: My best High
School memories were of Senior year. Even though the class was small, it was
full of really wonderful people and Mr. Mika, our principal, helped make it a
special year by always reminding us that the senior class were his
"babies". Another special memory is of the 1995 reunion in Las Vegas
where I got to see Stacy Stewart, Ken Saville, and Bill Suzuki from the '67
class. They looked great!
