I've just been reading a few of the bio's and thought I would add mine. I
graduated from WAHs in 1963. I stayed in Germany till my dad was sent to Myrtal
Beach, SC. I started school, but ended up getting married in Dec. 65 to someone
I met while still in Germany. He was born in Wuerzburg and is German. He was in
the German Air Force and we saw quite a bit of Germany from those assignments.
We have 3 children, Marc, 40, who lives in Germany with his wife and children:
Eric, 38, who lives in St. Pete, Fl and our daughter Sandra (Sandy) 30 who is a
travel nurse and at the moment is in Portland, Or. I feel I was one of the lucky
wives who could stay home and be full time home maker, wife and mother. After 23
years in the GAF, my husband of 42 years, retired and we movet to the states
where we have lived for the past 20 years. Horst went to USF and got his masters
in international business and finance and is now with Raymond James and
Associates in the international equity capital market. Horst's job takes him
over seas on a very regular basis and we are in Germany at least 5 times a year,
sometimes more. We have a home in Prichsenstadt, a very small town just east of
Wuerzburg, closer to Kitzingen By the way, Kitzingen is closed now except for a
few troops. Wuerzburg will be closing in a year, I believe. We just got back
from Germany the 9th of June. The day before our flight there was a winefest in
our little town, what a way to leave. We will be returning to Germany mid July,
just in time for another fest of some kind. I too have great memories of
Germany. To all my old classmates, hi. I was only there for my senior year, but
it was still a great year.

Left Germany right after graduation. Floated across from Bremerhaven to New York
on a troop ship (sick for 4 days). My parents stayed in Germany for another
year. Dad was American Red Cross Field Director for Wurzburg base and many
others in the vicinity. Returned to live with my sister for a short time in San
Jose, CA. Attended San Jose City College and then San Jose State University (BSEE,
1971). Worked at Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies for a total of 35 years
(1965-2000). Early years in Palo Alto, CA but most of the time in Ranta Rosa,
CA. Have been married 22 years....however, it has taken me 3 wives to do this !
I married in 1968 and we had 1 son, Timothy in 1973....divorced in 1978. Married
again in 1984 (just after a 5 month trip through all of Europe to see everything
I missed while in High School). Divorced in 1989. Married Marie in 2000 (we're
very old friends....long story) in Hawaii. She has a son from a prior marriage.
We are very, very happy. I! retired from HP/Agilent in 2000 and in 2001 we moved
from Santa Rosa, CA to Williams, Oregon (just south of Grants Pass and Medford).
We have real estate investments and a vacation home at the coast. Had kidney
cancer in late 2005. Still in remission and life is good ! We have a wonderful
home and we are comfortable. WAHS memories: It is COLD in the winter in Germany
! Tough crossing the air strip sometimes. Forced to play flag football in shorts
in the snow !! I was almost drafted to play on the REAL football team when I got
to the school in Oct. of 1962. But when I convinced the guys that I only weighed
about 120 lbs., they decided not to use me. Great teachers !The prom and
graduation were great fun. Does anyone remember the senior trip to Paris ?? I'd
like to know what ever happened to Kathy "Bugs" Riordan ? e-mail me at:
bella_vista@echoweb.net. Love to hear from any of you. Does anybody go to
the reunions ?

My BIO since graduation in 63 sounds like a dime store novel so it's taken me a
few years to finally submit it.I stayed in Wertheim until May of 64 aince
"Dad" wasn't scheduled to go home til then.Worked at the NCO club and
Officers Clubs as waitress and bartender.Came "home" to New Richmon Wi-what
a culture shock after 4 years in Europe-was not ready for small-town life-so I
returned to Germany(Wertheim) in July of 64 to marry the "love of my
life"in August(Fred Small-US Army-Medic)we stayed until May of 65-had one
son and then divorced-to make a long story short,I married 3 more times(that's 4
in all)b/4 I found the right one-heh-heh,in all I have 4 grown sons and 7
grandchildren-together we have 7 kids and 15 grandchildren-I work at the local
Nursing Home here as a LPN. In 1985 my Biological father found me-he was alive
and well living in Berlin-not killed during the war as my mother had told me(I
was born in Oppenheim Germany in 1944 and my mother married an American soldier
in 1952 and i came to the "states"in Jan 1953)So I have been traveling
back and forth to Germany every few years since 1993.My father is a terrific guy
and we have a great time together I will be going again this April to celebrate
his 85th Birthday-2 years ago he took me to Wertheim and Wurzburg and I took a
ton of pictures-brought back a flood of good memories, and last year we went to
Mainz(where I spent my young childhood)Every time I go he has a mini trip
planned for us-he wants to make sure I see the whole country and enjoy the
different cultures(something he couldn't do for me when I was a child) Any
way---Life is good-Jim and I live up here in Minesota between the twin cities of
MPLS/STPAUL and Duluth-we live on a small Lake, and in the summer we enjoy
fishing together,and I enjoy my flower gardens,we have tw0 dogs,a Black Cocker
and a large mixed breed that looks like a Golden Retriever/German Shepard.Jim is
a salesman of Manufactured Homes and planning on retiring in a few weeks-I still
have 6 years to go. Would really enjoy hearing from former classmates, have many
great memories-the many AYA dances and trips-bier and wine fests-oh my!!!!!And

After college I got a job building submarines at Mare Island, in Vallejo, CA
near San Francisco. Got married 1968 and left the shipyard in '69 after they
sunk a sub at the dock (great story). Worked for Ford in Detroit 69-75 while
making 4 kids and going to night law school. Worked for a Detroit law firm for a
short time in 75-76, then back to SF. Worked for PG&E while getting a
divorce and studying for CA bar. Passed that in '77 and moved to San Diego in
'78. Worked for SDG&E until 1983 then moved to an equipment leasing company
that was bought by GE Capital in '90. Got married to Pat in '81 and we are
enjoying our 6-year old, Sarah. Worked at GE Capital as house counsel until
April this year, when they moved the office to Anaheim and I quit because of the
1 1/2 hour one way commute. Now being Mr. Mom, which is possible only because of
the outrageous behavior of the stock market lately. Aside from wasting time at
the computer, I like to sail, swim and generally hang out, when I'm not driving
Sarah around to her various activities. I have 4 kids from my first marriage, 2
of whom don't talk to me. The other two are just fine. Keri manages the Limited
store in Horton Plaza, San Diego. She's married to a writer and has a 4-year old
girl. Jeremy went to USNA and is currently in Monterey attending Naval
Postgraduate School. He and his wife had a little boy in July '99. Life is
pretty damn good.
Best Memory: "Talent show" at the Leighton Barracks AYA with the
Rayfords, Bob Pettigrew and others. Winning Class B football championship in
'62. Best of all, pitching a nine inning no-hitter against Mannheim in Aug. 61
with the help of Jim Peck, Jim Sizemore and a bunch of other guys.

Stayed in Germany 2 years after graduation. My dad had two more years so I
decided to stay and explore. We moved to Hanau during the summer of 63 and I
worked, and traveled all over Germany on weekends. Upon returning to the states,
stayed in NJ a few months, found it not to my liking so moved to SF for a couple
years. On to Hawaii for 9 years. Got married in Hawaii - that lasted just over 4
years, no children. Headed for Anchorage, Alaska where I met my second husband.
Worked for Ingersoll-Rand there during the wind-down of the building of the
pipeline. Exciting times in Alaska. Left there in 79 and headed to Santa Fe, NM.
What a great city!! On to El Paso, TX (my second husband worked for civil
service & we moved a lot). Our one and only child (a beautiful 20 year old
daughter) was born there. On to Puerto Rico for 3 years (great times there).
From PR to Orangeburg, SC. Beautiful place to live. The second marriage fell
apart there & my daughter a! nd I moved to Vero Beach, Fl to be near family
(my mom and sister live here). Have been very happy here and life gets better
and better. I have great memories of WHS. Lived in Wurzburg from 57 - 60 so
attended there during freshman year. My dad was sent back to Germany in 62 and
we were in Kitzingen that time. Once again at WHS for my senior year. Great
friends and memories from both times.

I graduated from WAHS in June of -63 and entered the Air Force. In August of 67
I met my future bride (Genia). Ten days later we were engaged, and tied the knot
in Dec. 1967. We have two daughters (Andrea and Stacey). After 24 years the Air
Force quit being fun, so I retired and started a "real" job. I've been
working for LEXIS-NEXIS for 17 years and am looking forward to retiring again in
the not-to-distant future. I'm hoping to see and hear from fellow schoolmates
and the many friends we've made over the years. It's been a wonderful ride and I
often reflect on the Wurzburg years as the "start of it all". Thank
you all. You're remembered with fondness.
